PT Bank DKI (hereinafter referred to as "Bank Jakarta") fully acknowledges that Personal Data is the most important asset for you, and therefore Bank Jakarta is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and protection of your Personal Data in relation to the use of banking products and/or services offered by Bank Jakarta.

Bank Jakarta has built a website as a free system accessible to you. This service is provided by Bank Jakarta at no cost and is intended to be used as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Data if anyone decides to use our Services.

For a better experience while using our Services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information we request will be retained by us and used as described in this Privacy Notice.

This application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Personal Data We Collect About You

"Personal Data" means data/information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate a person or device associated with such information. Personal Data includes, but is not limited to, name, address, date of birth, occupation, phone number, email address, bank account, gender, identification (including passport or national identity document) or other government-issued identification, photograph, nationality, phone numbers of our Users and non-Users in your mobile phone book, health data, financial-related information, and biometric information (including but not limited to facial recognition). Furthermore, to the extent that other information, including personal profiles and/or unique identifiers, is associated or combined with Personal Data, that information constitutes Personal Data. The types of Personal Data we collect depend on the circumstances of collection and the nature of the service requested or transaction undertaken. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may collect, use, store, and transfer various types of Personal Data about you which we have grouped as follows:

  • Identity Data includes name, username, identity card, taxpayer identification number, user ID, or other identifiers, title, date of birth, gender, place of birth, occupation, nationality, photograph, and/or biometric data.
  • Contact Data includes email address, phone number, and phone book.
  • Payment Data includes details of payments or transfers made through electronic money and/or electronic wallet facilities provided by us, such as information related to usage, payments, recipient details (including their account details), payment amounts paid, billing details, and billing information.
  • Technical Data includes details about your use of our Application such as in-app messages, in-app search history, internet protocol (IP) address, information such as previously or subsequently viewed web pages, duration of each visit/session, internet device identity (ID) or media access control address, mobile advertising ID, and other device information including information related to the manufacturer, model, and operating system of the device you use to access the Application and crash logs.
  • Location Data includes your geographical location information. We may create, use, license, or disclose Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data may be derived from your Personal Data but will not be considered Personal Data as it will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity because we will ensure:
    • that all identifiers have been removed so that the data, either separately or in combination with other available data, cannot be associated with or linked to or cannot identify an individual.
    • the data is then combined with similar data so that the original data forms part of a larger dataset.
Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

We process your personal data based on Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection as follows:

  • Your valid explicit consent for the purposes stated by Us in this policy;
  • Fulfillment of contractual obligations in meeting your service requests.
  • Fulfillment of Our legal obligations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Fulfillment of protection of your vital interests, in the event of a threat to your life, physical wellbeing, and/or property/assets or those of other third parties;
  • Execution of duties in the context of public interest, public services, or the exercise of Our authority based on applicable laws and regulations; and/or
  • Fulfillment of other legitimate interests by considering the purpose, necessity, and balance of interests between Us and You.

The Personal Data we collect may be provided by you directly or by third parties (for example: when you register or use the Application, when you contact Our customer service, or when you provide Personal Data to Us). We may collect information in various forms and for various purposes (including purposes permitted under Applicable Law).

  • Information obtained from you or from your mobile device directly. You may provide us with your Identity, Contact, Eligibility, Profile, Financial, and Payment Data, including in situations where required by us or where required by Applicable Law, when interacting with us directly or by corresponding with us via post, phone, email or otherwise. This includes Personal Data you provide when you:
    • register and create an Account with us using the Application;
    • use the Application, including if you register as a Service Provider or use the services as a User;
    • use the electronic money and/or electronic wallet facilities we provide (either as a payer or recipient);
    • apply to be a registered or verified account holder on an electronic money facility;
    • add a funding source for payments in the Application;
    • use the chat feature in the Application; and
    • provide feedback or contact us.
  • Information collected each time you use the Application. You may provide us with Technical and Location Data each time you use and/or visit the Application. Whenever you access the Application through your Mobile Device, we will track and collect your geographical location information in real-time. In some cases, you will be asked or required to enable the Global Positioning System (GPS) on your Mobile Device so that we can provide you with a better experience using the Application (for example, to provide information on how close a Service Provider is to you). You may always choose to temporarily disable the geolocation tracking information on your Mobile Device. However, this may affect the functions available on the Application.

We may use the Personal Data collected for any of the following purposes as well as for other purposes permitted by Applicable Law ("Purposes"):

  • to identify you and register you as a User and to administer, verify, deactivate, or manage your account in such manner;
  • to facilitate or enable any verification that we deem necessary before a Service Provider provides services to you or before we register you as a User, including conducting the Know Your Customer (KYC) principle;
  • to enable the Service Provider to provide services to you as requested;
  • to process and facilitate payment transactions made by you, including where applicable, transactions made through payment cards or accounts available through the Application;
  • to notify you of transactions or activities occurring in the Application or other systems connected to our Application;
  • to communicate with you and send information to you in connection with your use of the Application;
  • to notify you of any updates to the Application or changes to available services;
  • to process and respond to queries and feedback received from you;
  • to maintain, develop, test, improve, and personalize the Application to meet your needs and preferences as a User;
  • to process and manage reward points (as applicable);
  • to offer or provide services from our affiliates or partners (as applicable); and
  • to send you direct or targeted marketing communications, advertisements, vouchers, surveys, and information about special offers or promotions.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our services, in the event of an error in the application, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, application configuration when using our Services, the time and date of your use of the Services, and other statistics.

How We Store Your Personal Data

The Personal Data we collect is stored at storage locations (data centers) that we manage ourselves and/or managed by third parties located or domiciled within or outside the jurisdiction of Indonesia. All facilities, infrastructure, and data storage systems, whether managed by Us or third parties, are equipped with security controls to ensure the protection of your Personal Data. This Personal Data may be stored in printed form or in electronic format.

The retention period for your Personal Data varies greatly based on the processing purposes mentioned above, such as providing the services you request, complying with Our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing Our policies. We retain your Personal Data for as long as you continue to use the services and/or in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

We may delete personal data under the following conditions:

  • After the archive retention period has passed and does not violate applicable retention regulations in Indonesia
  • Withdrawal of consent from the personal data subject
  • Dissolution of the Company
  • Your data is no longer needed for other processing purposes
Who We Share Your Personal Data With

We share your information with other parties to provide the Services and improve the Service experience. In maintaining the security of your Personal Data, we will only share it with other parties who have a legitimate basis for processing and have implemented Personal Data protection measures in accordance with applicable law and the requirements we provide. We share your information with, among others:

  • Our affiliated companies that are part of the Bank Jakarta business group for the purpose of providing Services or processing data on behalf of Bank Jakarta;
  • Vendors, partners, suppliers, or third parties involved in the process of device installation, Service activation, authentication and provision of Services on behalf of Bank Jakarta;
  • Third parties who assist us in providing information for authentication and due diligence purposes, including credit references, fraud prevention or business assessment agencies, or other credit assessment institutions, including banking;
  • Public Accounting Firms and other Audit Institutions;
  • Law enforcement agencies, Government Agencies, regulators, courts, or other authorized parties to the extent that it is lawful and has a legal basis;
  • Third parties for the purpose of carrying out promotions, marketing, loyalty programs, events or offers of Bank Jakarta's products or services, including billing; and/or
  • Third parties who advertise with us to provide offers to you, with reference to the Privacy Notice applicable specifically to such services.

    You have the right to complete, update, and/or correct errors and/or inaccuracies in your Personal Data that has been provided by Us, directly through the application We provide or by contacting Customer Service in the Contact Us section of this Privacy Notice.
  • Right to access Personal Data.
    You have the right to request a copy of the Personal Data you have provided to Us, directly through the application We provide or by contacting Customer Service in the Contact Us section of this Privacy Notice.
  • Right to cease processing, delete, and/or destroy Personal Data.
    We store and process your data for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Privacy Notice and in accordance with the retention period. You have the right to cease the processing We carry out or delete your data that We control, with the risk that you will not be able to fully use Our Services as the minimum information We need to provide the Services cannot be processed by Us. You have the right to destroy your data that We control as long as it does not violate the law and there is no other obligation for Us to continue storing your data.   • Right to portability and interoperability of Personal Data.
    You have the right to obtain and/or use your Personal Data that has been provided to Us in a form that is consistent with the structure and/or format commonly used or readable by electronic systems, such as payment history and subscription history. You also have the right to use and transmit your Personal Data to other Personal Data controllers, as long as Our system and the other Personal Data controller's system used can communicate securely in accordance with the principles of Personal Data Protection under applicable laws and regulations.
  • Right to restrict Personal Data processing.
    If you feel that the data We hold about you is inaccurate, or you believe that We should not be processing your Personal Data, please contact Our customer service team to discuss your rights. In certain circumstances, you have the right to request that We restrict processing.
    • endangering your safety, physical or mental health and/or that of others;
    • impacting the disclosure of another person's Personal Data;
    • contrary to the interests of national defense and security; and/or
    • the reason for the request is not relevant to you and/or the Personal Data processing activities We carry out, and if the identification data is insufficient or cannot be verified.

  • impacting the disclosure of another person's Personal Data;
  • contrary to the interests of national defense and security; and/or
  • the reason for the request is not relevant to you and/or the Personal Data processing activities We carry out, and if the identification data is insufficient or cannot be verified.
Security

We have designed, implemented, and maintained an information security system in an effort to protect and secure your Personal Data from unauthorized access, modification, and disclosure and to ensure data availability when needed. However, We cannot fully guarantee that your Personal Data will not be hacked, accessed, disclosed, modified, or destroyed by unauthorized third parties due to factors beyond Our control.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including but not limited to passwords, one-time passwords (OTP), access to your email, malware or viruses that may attack your device.

Children's Privacy

This Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Data, we will immediately delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us so that we can take the necessary action.
