Synergy between Bank DKI and Transjakarta Officially Names the Transjakarta Senayan Bank DKI Bus Stop

Jakarta – Bank DKI has once again established a partnership with Transjakarta, by renaming the bus stop from Gelora Bung Karno Bus Stop to Bank DKI Senayan Bus Stop. The inauguration of the naming of the Senayan Bank DKI bus stop was carried out on Thursday in Jakarta (11/7) by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Owned Enterprise Development Agency (BPBUMD) Nasruddin Djoko Surjono, the Main Director of Transjakarta Welfizon Yuza, the Main Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, and witnessed by the Board of Directors of Transjakarta and Bank DKI, including the Director of Business and Asset Utilization of Transjakarta Fadly Hasan, Director Bank DKI Commercial and Institutional, Herry Djufraini, and Bank DKI Technology & Operations Director, Amirul Wicaksono.

President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo explained that this synergy marks an important step in strengthening collaboration between Bank DKI and Transjakarta in the context of improving public transportation services in Jakarta. "The naming of the Transjakarta Bus Stop Senayan Bank DKI is a concrete manifestation of Bank DKI's support to provide the best service for the people of Jakarta. We believe that this effort will support improving the quality of public transportation in Jakarta," said Agus.

Furthermore, Agus said that by becoming the holder of the naming rights for Bank DKI's Senayan Transjakarta Bus Stop, it would be the start of various partnership programs and other strategic initiatives that would be carried out by Bank DKI and Transjakarta to realize public transportation services and provide a better experience for Transjakarta service users.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi added that the full support of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) was also the key to the success of this initiative. "Bank DKI expresses its gratitude for the trust and support given by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as the Main Shareholder, and hopes that this collaboration can continue to run well for the progress of public transportation in Jakarta. This is also in line with Jakarta's vision as a modern and competitive global city," added Arie.

Transjakarta Main Director Welfizon Yuza said that naming bus stops is a form of commercial branding. As well as contributing significantly to corporate income. "This collaboration is a driving force for advancing the public transportation system in Jakarta and supporting people's lifestyles as a representative form of a sustainable global city," said Welfizon. He added that the naming of the Bank DKI Senayan Bus Stop will also increase Bank DKI's brand awareness by reintroducing the Jakarta Tourist Pass which can be utilized by public transportation users as well as activation opportunities and events that can be enjoyed by Transjakarta customers.

Support for Digitalization of Public Transport Payments

Bank DKI continues to encourage the digitization of integrated public transportation payments in Jakarta through the development of digital banking products. Among them is JakCard, which was launched in 2007, and has become the first non-cash payment ticket to be tested and used on Transjakarta Corridor 1 services, and can now be used for integrated transportation in Jakarta, starting from Transjakarta, Jaklingko, Commuter Line, MRT Jakarta, to LRT Jakarta and Jabodebek. Apart from that, JakCard can also be used to pay for electronic entrance tickets at tourist attractions managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, including Monas, Ragunan Wildlife Park, and several museums in Jakarta, such as the Jakarta History Museum, Joang 45 Museum, Prasasti Museum and MH Thamrin Museum.

For information, the total transactions using JakCard in Transjakarta until June 2024 reached a nominal value of IDR 3.87 billion with a transaction frequency of 980,179 times. This amount has increased by more than 111% compared to total transactions throughout 2023 which recorded a nominal value of IDR 1.46 billion with a transaction frequency of 440,995 times.

Most recently, the synergy between Bank DKI and the DKI Jakarta Province Department of Tourism and Creative Economy (Disparekraf) launched the Jakarta Tourist Pass as a digital solution based on electronic cards (JakCard) and applications (JakOne Pay) to provide convenience for tourists, such as accessing information on popular tourist destinations, transportation and merchant payments, as well as other tourism services in Jakarta.

In terms of card-based digital payment transaction needs, the Jakarta Tourist Pass (JakCard) can be used for integrated transportation payment needs in Jakarta and tourist attractions managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Meanwhile, the Jakarta Tourist Pass (JakOne Pay) application is supported by a number of superior features, including the Maps feature which provides a list of tourist destination locations, the Event feature which is used as a reference source regarding tourist destination locations, times and event ticket prices, as well as a payment feature using the scan to pay method for QRIS, to balance updates and JakCard top ups.
