BUMD Synergy, Bank DKI Supports Transjakarta Environmentally Friendly Transportation Financing

Jakarta – As a form of support in realizing environmentally friendly and sustainable transportation in Jakarta, Bank DKI supports Transjakarta operator partners in terms of financing schemes for large, medium and electric bus operators. This synergy is contained in a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Director of Technology and Operations as well as the Acting Director (Plt.) of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono and the Main Director of PT Transportation Jakarta, Welfizon Yuza in Jakarta (13/6). According to Amirul, Bank DKI's support is a manifestation of BUMD synergy as a form of contribution in supporting the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government program "Bank DKI supports the Transjakarta Ecosystem by providing comfortable, integrated transportation, and plays a role in encouraging development and a sustainable environment in the City of Jakarta," said Amirul.

Furthermore, Amirul said that in the future, Bank DKI will distribute investment credit for the procurement of special bus operators with size specifications for large, medium and electric buses under the auspices of Transjakarta. "We hope that this synergy in providing safe, comfortable and modern public transportation will bring benefits to support Jakarta's big agenda as a Global City," said Amirul. Also involved in signing the Memorandum of Understanding was PT Allied Molindo Indonesia, which is one of the companies providing electric buses.

In line with this, the President Director of PT Transjakarta, Welfizon Yuza expressed his appreciation to Bank DKI and Sarana Multi Infrastruktur as financing institutions, PT Allied Molindo Indonesia and operator partners for the collaboration that has existed. "The hope is that this collaboration can act as a catalyst for the electrification process of the Transjakarta service fleet and contribute significantly to realizing the net zero emissions target for the City of Jakarta and Indonesia," said Welfizon in his speech.

Apart from taking a role in providing financing facilities for bus procurement for Transjakarta operator partners, Bank DKI, through synergy with Transjakarta, is creating a non-cash transaction system for Transjakarta travel ticket needs, namely through Electronic Money Cards (JakCard), which is also part of the digital banking service solution from Bank DKI for public transportation needs in Jakarta.

Apart from being used as a Transjakarta or JakLingko ticket, people can use JakCard for transportation ticket needs such as KRL Commuter Line, MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, and LRT Jabodebek. JakCard – Jakarta Tourist Pass can also be used to pay for entrance tickets at a number of tourist attractions including Ragunan Wildlife Park, National Monument (Monas), Jakarta History Museum (Fatahillah Museum), Prasasti Museum, MH Thamrin Museum, Art and Ceramics Museum, Wayang Museum, Textile Museum, Maritime Museum, Rumah Pitung Site, Thamrin 10, and several swimming pools managed by Dispora. JakCard purchases can also be made at all Bank DKI branch offices, as well as through the "JakCard Store" on Tokopedia e-commerce.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi added, Bank DKI's commitment to realizing a sustainable Jakarta City is also implemented in providing credit for electric motor vehicle ownership by collaborating with car and electric motorbike dealers as working partners.
