Supporting the Availability of Cheap Food Stuffs, Bank DKI Subsidizes 1,000 Basic Food Packages in Rawa Badak Utara Subdistrict

Jakarta – In an effort to support the achievement of one of the sustainable development goals through CSR distribution, Bank DKI participated in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's cheap basic food program facilitated by Perumda Pasar Jaya, in the form of subsidies for 1,000 basic food packages in Rawa Badak Utara Subdistrict, North Jakarta, which was held on Friday (23/8). The event was also attended by the Acting (PJ.) Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono, Director of Compliance at Bank DKI Ateng Rivai, as well as the Main Director of Perumda Pasar Jaya Agus Himawan and the Board of Directors of Perumda Pasar Jaya.

Bank DKI Compliance Director Ateng Rivai said that "This CSR distribution is part of Bank DKI's commitment to supporting the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's program to improve community welfare. This is also one of Bank DKI's concrete efforts in supporting the food security program in Jakarta," said Ateng.

The President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, in his official statement said that Bank DKI always strives to contribute to supporting the realization of one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) point 2, namely creating conditions without hunger. "Through this program, it is hoped that it can have a positive impact on the welfare of the community, especially in DKI Jakarta, in meeting food needs," said Agus.

During this event, Bank DKI provided a subsidy of IDR 50,000 per package for 1,000 basic food packages worth IDR 150,000 each. The basic food packages contain 5 kg of premium rice, 2 liters of cooking oil, 1 kg of granulated sugar and 1 kg of wheat flour, so that the public can redeem them for IDR 100,000 per package. Previously last July, Bank DKI also distributed subsidies for 1,000 basic food packages in Bintaro, South Jakarta.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi added "Bank DKI's participation in this cheap basic food program is a real form of Bank DKI's concern for the welfare of the people of Jakarta. Apart from being a facilitator for distributing social assistance to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Bank DKI will also continue to support various initiatives that focus on community welfare and sustainability, in line with our commitment to contribute positively to the social and economic environment," concluded Arie.
