Jakarta – In order to improve services to the community using Free Transjakarta cards, Bank DKI is providing a mechanism for replacing JakCard-based Free Transjakarta service cards to card users. The use of the Bank DKI JakCard card in the Free Transjakarta Service card program is support for Governor Regulation Number 160 of 2016, concerning Free Transjakarta Services and Free Buses for the Community. This was conveyed by the Corporate Secretary of Bank DKI, Herry Djufraini in his written statement in Jakarta (28/08).
Herry further said "Free Transjakarta services using the old version of Jakcard (Mifare) can still be used by showing the old card or a replacement card letter from Bank DKI. However, we urge users to immediately replace it with a new card"
For information, Free Transjakarta service card holders who wish to exchange a new JakCard card, can visit 3 locations, namely the parking lot of the Bank DKI Juanda Branch, Matraman Branch and Matraman Syariah Branch on weekdays (Monday-Friday, 08.00 – 17.00 WIB). Card holders can visit the branch office by bringing their old JakCard and other ID cards. Next, Bank DKI officers will verify your data and identity.
Apart from that, card holders can also change at 5 Transjakarta bus stop locations, including Kwitang Bus Stop, Jelambar Bus Stop, Cawang UKI Bus Stop, Pasar Kebayoran Lama Bus Stop, and Permai Koja Bus Stop (Monday-Friday, from 09.00 – 12.00 WIB).
The Transjakarta free service program itself can also be accessed using the DKI Bank Combo ATM Card and targets a number of categories of service recipients, including: DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Civil Servants and their retirees, contract workers who work at the DKI Provincial Government, Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) holders, certain private employees or workers who have payroll at DKI Bank, residents of low-rent flats and teams driving family empowerment and welfare. Apart from that, registration for this service can also be done via the page https://klg.transjakarta.co.id by filling in your biodata and uploading supporting documents.
"We hope that the reliability of JakCard as an electronic means of payment for transportation in DKI Jakarta, such as Transjakarta, the JakLingko network, MRT Jakarta and LRT Jakarta, can bring convenience and comfort to its users. Apart from transportation, JakCard itself can also be used as a means of payment at various tourist destinations managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. For easy top-up of balances, Jakcard can be topped up via the JakOne Mobile application using a cellphone with an NFC feature," concluded Herry.
