Transportation Sector Returns to Normal Operations, Bank DKI Invites People to Use Non-Cash Transactions

In connection with the operational hours of the public transportation sector returning to normal during the Transitional Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period, Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Herry Djufraini, in his written statement on Tuesday, June 9 2020, invited the public to use non-cash transactions as much as possible in order to avoid physical contact.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Herry Djufraini said, "For Bank DKI Jakcard and JakLingko card holders who want to top up their balance, just do it via JakOne Mobile on a smartphone that has the Near Field Communication (NFC) feature. So there is no need to top up at the counter. We are doing this to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 through limiting physical contact, so that this PSBB period can pass quickly and economic activities can return to normal.

To refill/top up JakCard and JakLingko balances, customers simply log in to the JakOne Mobile application on their smartphone device. Next, select the JakCard top-up option, stick the JakCard on the back of the smartphone device and tap the 'stick card' option, select the top-up amount then select the source of funds from JakOne Pay electronic money or a savings account. Apart from refilling/topping up JakCard and JakLingko balances, customers can also refill/top up GoPay balances via JakOne Mobile.

Apart from public transportation, JakCard can also be used as an entrance ticket to tourist areas such as the National Monument, Art and Ceramics Museum, Sports Center, Ragunan and Ancol Wildlife Parks.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government finally extended the implementation of the PSBB in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. This was conveyed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan. PSBB itself in DKI Jakarta ends on Thursday 4 June 2020.

During the transitional PSBB period, Anies relaxed several sectors, one of which was public transportation. However, there are several health protocols that must always be considered, one of which is the passenger capacity of public transportation. "50 percent of public transportation operates MRT, Transjakarta. 50 percent buses. Also stations and bus stops are spaced apart. Queue is at least 1 meter," he said.

It's easier with JakOne Mobile

One of Bank DKI's services that can help customers reduce physical contact and use of cash is JakOne Mobile, a digital financial service application consisting of Mobile Banking and a digital wallet that can be used to carry out transactions for daily needs at merchants who collaborate with Bank DKI.

Herry said, "JakOne Mobile can be used to pay bills such as telephone bills, PDAM bills, electricity bills, BPJS Health bills, as well as paying zakat, plane or train tickets, paying PBB Tax and the Annual Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) for the DKI Jakarta area.

Currently, Bank DKI is also continuing to strive to increase DPK by encouraging the use of the JakOne Mobile application. With JakOne Mobile, opening an account or making online deposits can also be done without having to visit a Bank DKI service office.
