Bank DKI Peduli Provides Assistance to Children with HIV (ADHIV) through the DKI Jakarta Provincial AIDS Commission
Jakarta, July 22 2024Jakarta – In commemoration of National Children's Day and as a concrete manifestation of the Social & Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL), Bank DKI provided assistance to 80 children living with HIV (ADHIV). This assistance was distributed through the DKI Jakarta Provincial AIDS Commission on Monday in Jakarta (22/07), in the form of nutrition and basic necessities with the aim of meeting the nutritional needs of ADHIV children.
The President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, in his written statement said, "Providing nutrition for ADHIV is part of Bank DKI's commitment to bring social meaning to the community. This initiative is also a form of corporate social responsibility and is expected to ease the burden on affected families and provide support for their health and welfare," said Agus.
Agus added that apart from providing assistance, this program also aims to increase public awareness about the importance of supporting children living with HIV. With this program, Bank DKI hopes to provide new enthusiasm and hope for ADHIV children.
Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi also explained that assistance in providing nutrition and basic necessities to Children with HIV (ADHIV) is part of Bank DKI's Sustainable Financial Action Plan (RAKB) in 2024. "The implementation of CSR carried out by Bank DKI is also a form of the company's efforts to implement Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG), considering that Bank DKI's role is not only as a business entity, but also provides added value for the sustainable development of the city of Jakarta and its citizens," said Arie.
Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Provincial AIDS Commission, Moch. Ichwan welcomed this initiative and expressed his gratitude, "We are very grateful to Bank DKI for the assistance provided. Adequate nutrition is very important for our children, and this assistance is very meaningful in supporting their daily health," said Ichwan.
Implementation of the Bank DKI Cares CSR Program
Throughout the first semester of 2024, Bank DKI has realized CSR provision in various fields, including education and social sectors. Various programs have been implemented by Bank DKI, including stunting management programs, educational financial assistance to children with disabilities at the Jakarta Care for Disabled Children Foundation, as well as educational financial assistance to retired children of Bank DKI.
Furthermore, in the holy month of Ramadan 1445 H/2024 AD, Bank DKI also provided compensation to 8,500 orphans and poor people from 5 areas of the DKI Jakarta Administrative City, until most recently Bank DKI distributed 800 eggs to students at SDN Lagoa 07, North Jakarta as an effort to support the stunting management program in Jakarta.
