Bank DKI Wins Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards 2021

Jakarta - For implementing positive financial performance, the Sharia Business Unit (UUS) of Bank DKI succeeded in winning the 2021 Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards in the Sharia Business Unit of Regional Bank category on Monday, 31 May 2021. This was stated by the Corporate Secretary of Bank DKI, Herry Djufraini in a written statement in Jakarta (31/5).

As is known, the Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards 2021 is the highest award from Warta Ekonomi for companies in the financial industry, including banking, life insurance, general insurance, Sharia People's Financing Banks (BPRS), and multi-finance companies in the sharia business sector. This award is aimed at companies that have tried their best to provide development programs, services, innovation and other benefits to advance the economy and lives of the Indonesian people.

In the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Bank DKI's UUS performance can still grow positively. As of March 2021, UUS Bank DKI has distributed financing amounting to IDR 5.96 trillion or an increase of 1.10% compared to the March 2020 period of IDR 5.90 trillion. Apart from financing, Bank DKI UUS Third Party Funds (DPK) were also recorded to have increased by 118.21% amounting to IDR 3.91 trillion as of March 2021 compared to March 2020 amounting to IDR 1.79 trillion. These various financial performance achievements have encouraged an increase in assets which grew by 4.94% from IDR 6.04 trillion as of March 2020 to IDR 6.33 trillion as of March 2021. Bank DKI's UUS profit as of March 2021 was recorded at IDR 54.70 billion.

In developing business, UUS Bank DKI also builds synergy with DKI Jakarta BUMD and other institutions related to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government such as the DKI Jakarta Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) and DKI Jakarta Bazis in terms of optimizing sharia banking services. UUS Bank DKI also provides various sharia financial solutions such as Hajj and Umrah (Taharoh) savings. UUS Bank DKI is also trusted to carry out collaborations which include the integration of electronic money (JakOne Pay) for digital zakat, infaq and sadaqah payment services. Apart from that, UUS Bank DKI also provides products and services such as iB Savings, iB Deposits, and iB Current Accounts.

The 2021 Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards adds to the series of awards received by UUS Bank DKI. Previously, UUS Bank DKI received the 2020 Republika Syariah Award in the Best Regional Sharia Bank category, and most recently UUS Bank DKI received the 2021 Iconomics Syariah Award in the Best Sharia Unit Bank category. "Bank DKI continues to innovate in sharia banking services to continue to grow and become the choice of DKI Jakarta residents," concluded Herry.
