The Financial Services Authority (OJK) encourages Bank DKI to continue developing the synergy of Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) so that in the future it can become a model for other Regional Development Banks (BPD). "We appreciate that it was started by Bank DKI which built synergy well. We invite other BPD friends to imitate DKI so that synergy in the regions can develop their respective regions," said Deputy Commissioner for Banking Supervision IV OJK, Achmad Soekro Tratmono, at the All-Indonesia BPD Seminar and DKI Jakarta BUMD Synergy in Jakarta, Saturday.
The aim, said Soekro, is that the OJK wants BPD to become a host in its region for regional development and develop regional potential so that it becomes the main capital for regional development. "Because BPD is a bank that knows the culture and behavioral characteristics of its region. Therefore, OJK will encourage BPD to be more advanced than now," said Soekro.
To make this happen, said Soekro, OJK created a master plan for 2020-2024 which contains several things, namely strengthening resilience and competitiveness by consolidating and strengthening capital; secondly, BPD transformation to digital systems and product digitalization; third, accelerating the development of the financial services ecosystem in line with development; fourth, increasing financial inclusion literacy; fifth, acceleration and expansion of technology-based supervision; sixth, increasing industrial economic scale through minimum scale increases and accelerated consolidation; as well as mitigating existing risks.
"We want BPD to be more advanced and more useful to regional communities. We welcome the synergy that continues to be developed. Through synergy we also encourage BPD to consolidate to solve BPD problems. Become the host BPD in the region," he said.
The President Director of Bank DKI, Zainuddin Mappa, said that Bank DKI consistently continues to build BUMD synergies in DKI Jakarta. The types of synergy between Bank DKI and BUMD in Jakarta include synergy in the transportation sector by accommodating non-cash services with JakCard on TransJakarta, MRT, Railink and commuter lines.
BUMD synergy is also carried out in the food security sector between Bank DKI and Food Station by providing Trader Cards at Cipinang Market, together with Pasar Jaya by providing Monas Grocery Business Savings. Synergy between BUMD in the UMKM sector with the UMKMP Service and the DKI Jakarta Industry Service for credit programs for Integrated Entrepreneurship Development (PKT) participants.
Bank DKI, said Zainuddin, is also building BUMD synergy in the Tourism Sector with PT Jakarta Tourisindo to utilize banking services and hotel services by providing access to financing and e-channel services such as Cash Management System (CMS), banking facility services in the form of opening savings, deposit and checking accounts as well as providing Multi-Purpose Credit and Home Ownership Credit (KPR) facilities to PT Jakarta Tourisindo employees.
