PEFINDO Maintains Bank DKI's Rating Rating at AA- With a Stable Outlook
Jakarta, March 03 2021Published: March 03, 2021
PEFINDO maintains the rating of PT Bank DKI (Bank DKI) and its outstanding Sustainable Bonds I / 2016 at "idAA-". This rating reflects the strong support from the Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI) as the controlling shareholder, the strong capital structure and business development of Bank DKI.
In his written statement in Jakarta (03/01), Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Herry Djufraini expressed his appreciation for the trust given by Pefindo for the rating given to Bank DKI. Furthermore, he said that the rating given by Pefindo was a good marker of Bank DKI's performance achievements and increased public confidence in using various banking products and services from Bank DKI.
In terms of financial performance, up to December 2020, Bank DKI's assets experienced growth of 13.3% to IDR 63.01 trillion (unaudited) compared to the previous period of IDR 55.60 trillion. This increase in performance is also supported by well-maintained asset quality where as of December 2020, the gross NPL ratio was recorded at 2.98%. It is hoped that this capital profile can provide a strong cushion if there is a potential decline in asset quality, especially in sectors that are highly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, such as construction, trade, manufacturing, transportation and mining.
Continue Digital Transformation
As for the business side, Bank DKI continues to carry out digital banking transformation efforts carried out by Bank DKI through the presence of various new JakOne Mobile features that make things easier for the public, some of which include the ease of opening deposits online and cardless cash withdrawals at Bank DKI ATMs.
Herry said that customers can easily carry out banking transactions anywhere and anytime via the JakOne Mobile application. Most recently, the JakOne Mobile Bank DKI application can make it easier for users to make non-cash transaction payments via CPM (Customer Presented Mode). "With that, users only need to show QRIS from JakOne Mobile to merchants to make transactions,".
Apart from JakOne Mobile, Bank DKI also has card-based e-money products, namely JakCard & JakLingko. Prepaid cards issued by Bank DKI have so far been widely used as e-tickets for various modes of public service transportation such as TransJakarta, Mikro Trans, JakLingko public transportation, MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, and even airport/Railink trains. "Currently, JakCard can also be used to pay for inner-city toll road access," added Herry. JakCard and JakLingko are also the main means of payment in various tourist areas owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government such as Ragunan Wildlife Park, Monas, Planetarium and various museums in DKI Jakarta. JakCard and JakLingko Bank DKI can also be used to enter the Ancol tourist area.
