Positive Performance, UUS Bank DKI Wins the 2022 Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards

Recording positive financial performance growth in Q1 2022, Bank DKI's Sharia Business Unit (UUS) was named as one of the recipients of the Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards 2022 with Outstanding Sharia Banking Products and Development Programs in the Sharia Business Unit of Conventional Bank category from Media Warta Ekonomi. The award was received virtually by the Director of Retail & Sharia at Bank DKI, Babay Parid Wazdi on Thursday, April 21 2022.
Bank DKI Retail & Sharia Director, Babay Parid Wazdi expressed his gratitude to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as a shareholder and the trust given by all Bank DKI stakeholders, especially customers. As is known, up to the first quarter of 2022, UUS Bank DKI has disbursed financing amounting to IDR 6.35 trillion or a growth of 6.41% compared to the first quarter of 2021 of IDR 5.96 trillion. DPK UUS Bank DKI in the first quarter of 2022 also grew 21.60% to IDR 6.96 trillion compared to the first quarter of 2021 of IDR 5.73 trillion.
These various financial performance achievements have driven an increase in assets which grew by 18.79% from IDR 6.33 trillion in the first quarter of 2021 to IDR 7.53 trillion in the first quarter of 2022. These various financial performance indicators have boosted Bank DKI's UUS profit in the first quarter of 2022 which was recorded at IDR 45.84 billion.
In developing its business, UUS Bank DKI is optimizing sharia banking services for the BUMD DKI Jakarta environment and strengthening the MSME sector using Jakone Abank digital services. Apart from that, UUS Bank DKI also synergized with PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (SMF) to support the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program through the signing of the Mudharabah Muqayyadah Akad financing to participate in increasing the capacity to finance housing ownership for the community. UUS Bank DKI also provides various sharia financial solutions such as auto-debit Hajj and Umrah Savings (Taharoh), KMG Syariah financing, and presents Scan to Pay QRIS JakOne Pay which can be used to make zakat, infaq and alms payments digitally.
Most recently, to encourage the digitalization of banking services to various communities in DKI Jakarta, UUS Bank DKI collaborated with the Global Spirit of Ummah Foundation to launch the Maqashid Syariah Thematic Quran which is a differentiation factor for UUS Bank DKI from other Sharia Banks because it has historical significance as the first bank to publish the Thematic Quran on Sharia Economics as a form of commitment to educate sharia financial literacy in Indonesia.
UUS Bank DKI also supports the non-cash payment system through QRIS Bank DKI at various mosques in DKI Jakarta. By becoming a QRIS partner of Bank DKI, sharia institutions and mosques that collaborate with Bank DKI can make managing the financial transactions of their members and congregation easier. Sharia institution administrators and mosque administrators can monitor payment transactions and financial transactions in real time and online. Currently, Bank DKI has provided QR Codes for more than 2,928 mosques spread across various areas in Jakarta. Some of them are large mosques such as the Istiqlal Mosque, Sunda Kelapa Mosque, and various other mosques including the KH Hasyim Asyari Grand Mosque.
