Jakarta Tourist Pass Innovation, Bank DKI Wins Jakarta Innovation Awards 2024

Jakarta – Bank DKI Innovation synergizes with the DKI Jakarta Province Department of Tourism and Creative Economy (Disparekraf) through the Jakarta Tourist Pass product, winning 3rd place in the Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) category at the 2024 Jakarta Innovation Awards, which was held in Jakarta on Tuesday (01/10). This award, which was organized by the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of DKI Jakarta Province, was given as part of a series of Jakarta Innovation Days 2024 events which carried the theme "Jakarta Innovation Towards a Global City".

Jakarta Tourist Pass is a digital financial service innovation designed as a digital solution to make it easier for domestic and international tourists to access services and make transactions in the city of Jakarta, including ease of digital payments for public transportation services, tourist attractions, as well as various merchants using the QRIS scan to pay method.

The President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, in his official statement, said, "Jakarta Tourist Pass is one of the innovations presented by Bank DKI to support tourism, transportation and the creative economy in Jakarta. This award is also proof of our commitment to continue to innovate and make a real contribution to the progress of the city of Jakarta as a global city," he said.

Furthermore, Director of Technology & Operations at Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, explained that the Jakarta Tourist Pass is present as an integrated transaction solution, combining a JakCard card and an application connected to JakOne Pay electronic money, making non-cash tourism transactions easier in Jakarta. This application is equipped with tourist destination map features, event info, QRIS payments, as well as balance updates and JakCard top ups.

Apart from that, JakCard can be used to pay for integrated transportation tickets in Jakarta, such as Transjakarta, KRL Commuter Line, MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, LRT Jabodebek, and Mikrotrans. JakCard purchases can be made through Tokopedia e-commerce, a number of purchasing counters at several tourist attractions in Jakarta such as Monas, Ragunan Wildlife Park, and at all Bank DKI Branch Offices.

The Jakarta Innovation Days 2024 event is a forum for various elements to introduce innovations that contribute to building Jakarta as a modern and sustainable city. The winner assessment process is carried out through various stages, including evaluation of innovation proposals, originality, application, and benefits of innovation. This includes conducting field reviews to verify the application of the Jakarta Tourist Pass innovation at the National Monument (Monas) location. The assessment team had the opportunity to directly use the Jakarta Tourist Pass to enter Monas and carry out purchase transactions in the Lenggang Monas area by utilizing the QRIS scan feature.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, in a separate statement, added, "The innovation carried out by Bank DKI through the Jakarta Tourist Pass product is not only focused on tourist comfort, but is also an effort to have a positive impact on local economic growth, in line with the government's efforts to make Jakarta an increasingly friendly and attractive city for tourists, both domestic and international.

"Bank DKI is committed to continuing to support Jakarta's development through innovation that has a direct impact on improving the economy and tourism, as well as supporting digital transformation that increases Jakarta's competitiveness," concluded Arie.
