Bank DKI Officially Forms a Bank Business Group (KUB) with Bank Maluku Malut
Jakarta, June 10 2025Jakarta - PT Bank DKI and PT Bank Maluku Malut (BMM) have officially entered into strategic cooperation through the formation of a Bank Business Group (KUB). This collaboration was marked by the signing of the Capital Participation Agreement and Shareholder Agreement, which was carried out at Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (5/6).
The signing was carried out by the Main Director of Bank DKI, Agus Haryoto Widodo, and the Main Director of BMM, Syahrisal Imbar. The Shareholders Agreement was signed by the President Director of Bank DKI, Agus Haryoto Widodo and the Governor of Maluku Province, Hendrik Lewerissa, witnessed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, and the Governor of North Maluku, Sherly Tjoandra.
The presence of regional leaders and national banking authorities, such as the Chief Executive of OJK Banking Supervision, Dian Ediana Rae, is a strong symbol of support for inter-regional synergy as part of national banking consolidation as stated in POJK No. 12/POJK.03/2020.
Bank DKI's Strategic Steps Towards a Regional Bank with National Performance
The President Director of Bank DKI, Agus Haryoto Widodo, said that the formation of this KUB was an important milestone in the transformation of Bank DKI into a healthy, strong and nationally competitive bank.
"Through this collaboration, Bank DKI will expand market penetration, strengthen its business structure, and increase its contribution to strengthening the regional economy. This is part of our investment story towards the IPO," he stressed.
Bank DKI will become the Second Controlling Shareholder in BMM, and will actively assist in strengthening governance, risk management, IT systems, as well as business and HR development at BMM, in line with integrated Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) principles.

The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, appreciated the consolidation process carried out by the two banks as a concrete form of compliance with regulations, as well as a form of collaboration between regions. "We see this collaboration as not only a matter of capital, but also the spirit to truly develop Indonesia from the outskirts, with Jakarta acting as an enabler," he said.
Likewise, the Governor of Maluku, Hendrik Lewerissa, stated that this collaboration would strengthen services to the community and local business actors. "With the support of Bank DKI, we are confident that BMM can accelerate the transformation of financial services and have a positive impact on the regional economy," he said.
The Governor of North Maluku, Sherly Tjoandra, added that this collaboration is important amidst economic uncertainty and the acceleration of banking digitalization. "This step is a form of adaptation and collaboration in an era full of challenges."

Chief Executive of OJK Banking Supervision, Dian Ediana Rae, called this moment a real result of the big vision that has been built since 2022. "Today we are witnessing not only compliance with regulations, but also a model for strengthening BPD that is collaborative, strategic, and has a direct impact on society."
Meanwhile, the Main Director of BMM, Syahrisal Imbar, emphasized the importance of this collaboration as the beginning of a major transformation of BMM.
