BPD SI Example of Bank DKI Regarding BUMD Synergy

Bank DKI's contribution in encouraging the realization of BUMD Synergy in DKI Jakarta is expected to become an example for Regional Development Banks (BPD) throughout Indonesia. General Chair of the Regional Development Bank Association, Supriyatno, said that "BPD and BUMD who were present could learn from the BUMD development policies in DKI Jakarta Province" during the BPD SI National Seminar in Jakarta (22/02).
Supriyatno further conveyed that the policy was related to translating the governor's mandate in optimizing BUMD synergies to accelerate the realization of regional development programs. "We hope to get an overview of the digital transformation of DKI Jakarta banks in order to welcome the digital economic and financial ecosystem in 2025," hoped Supriyatno.
This momentum is expected to increase and strengthen the synergy between BPD and BUMD. Because in every province, he said, there are several BUMDs managed by the provincial and district/city governments. "I think how we collaborate with each other from our respective limitations to strengthen together," said Supriyatno. He also emphasized that what is important to do in the future is increasing human resources (HR).
Supriyatno stated that the synergy carried out by Bank DKI with BUMD could be a very good example to support PAD. Bank DKI is expected to become a mentor and an example for BPD in developing the digital ecosystem and how to build cooperation between BUMD. "We can emulate the success of DKI Jakarta," hoped Supriyatno.
Bank DKI Jakarta President Director Zainudin Mappa expressed his gratitude for Asbanda's trust in hosting the 30th BPD fortune harvest activity as well as the national BPD seminar throughout Indonesia and the DKI Jakarta BUMD synergy. Zainudin hopes that the results of this activity will provide very useful information for regional governments, to encourage the formation of regional companies. Apart from providing public services, regional companies can also manage potential resources in their respective regions.
Director of Bank Central Sulawesi Rahmat Abdul Haris stated that the synergy transformation between BPDs had been carried out since 2015. "What is most visible is IT synergy, where IT is best for BPDs to become mentors for other BPDs," said Haris. He gave the example of Bank Sulteng and other BPDs taking part in IT development under the guidance of Bank DKI Jakarta. "We just need to work together, there is no need to build our own system, because the costs are quite expensive and we need people with special skills," explained the Head of Operations and IT at Asbanda.
