Rano Karno Experienced the Ease of Non-Cash Transactions at the Creative Market with Bank DKI-Ramadan in Jakarta

Jakarta – Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Rano Karno, appreciated the efforts of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at the "Ramadan in Jakarta" Creative Market which took place on March 14-16 2025.

This event was held simultaneously at six points in Jakarta, including at Banteng Square, where Rano Karno was also present and interacted directly with MSME players.

"This is an activity to support our MSMEs. People are starting to get excited, the first day it opened and it was sold out. This means people are starting to get excited," said Rano while inspecting the MSME outlets assisted by Bank DKI.

During his visit, Rano not only provided moral support, but also participated as a buyer. He took the time to stop by one of the MSME outlets under Bank DKI which sells cut cloth and bought six pieces of cloth with various patterns.

"I want an easy transaction using tap (JakCard) or QRIS. How much is it all? Rp. 150,000, right? Pay using QRIS, OK," he said to the merchant who was greeted by swiftly offering a QR Code to be scanned with the JakOne Mobile application.

"It's easy, sir. Use QRIS. If it's easy, you can pay more, sir," joked the trader, which was immediately greeted with laughter by Rano.

The "Ramadan in Jakarta" Creative Market is the result of collaboration between the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy (Disparekraf), the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Dinas PPK UKM) DKI Jakarta, and the Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) DKI Jakarta. This event is also supported by Bank DKI which encourages non-cash transactions via QRIS JakOne Mobile as part of efforts to increase people's digital financial literacy.

The President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, emphasized that Bank DKI's participation in this activity aims to strengthen the empowerment of MSMEs and expand the use of digital transactions. "Taking advantage of the vibrant momentum of Ramadan 2025, Bank DKI continues to strive to provide financial solutions that make transactions easier for the people of Jakarta," he said.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, added that Ramadan in Jakarta is an important momentum to encourage local economic growth through increasing the adoption of non-cash transactions.

Apart from the MSME bazaar, the Ramadan Creative Market also offers various interesting activities such as studies, music performances, workshops and film screenings. On the same day, Bank DKI also held a special event entitled Jakarta Berkah at Anjungan Sarinah, Jakarta, which featured a culinary bazaar and entertainment from Fadly "Padi". With Rano Karno's presence at this event, it is hoped that more people will be encouraged to support and transact with MSMEs, so that the wheels of the local economy can continue to turn.
