Anies Appreciates Bank DKI's Support in the Transportation Sector

Regarding the implementation of public transportation in Jakarta, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan expressed his appreciation for the support provided by Bank DKI. "The implementation of public transportation in DKI Jakarta is carried out by Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta and LRT Jakarta. What unites it is banking, namely Bank DKI," said the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan on the sidelines of the National Seminar on BPD SI DKI Jakarta BUMD Synergy in Jakarta (22/02).
Bank DKI's support in the public transportation sector is a manifestation of BUMD synergy in the transportation sector. Bank DKI is known to support the public transportation payment system in Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta and LRT Jakarta through the use of JakCard and JakLingko. Anies reminded that one of the tasks of Bank DKI, which is a BUMD in the banking sector, is to improve transportation services.
"Bank DKI must be able to become an integrator of seven modes of public transportation in Jakarta through banking products as payment tickets starting from small, medium bus public transportation, Transjakarta Bus, LRT Jakarta, MRT Jakarta," he said at the event which was attended by the Chairman of the Regional Bank Association (Asbanda) Supriyatno and the Main Director of Bank DKI Zainuddin Mappa.
To realize the connectivity of the transportation mode system and the same means of payment, Bank DKI must be able to collaborate with a number of BUMDs and SKPDs. "Collaboration like this also applies to food and tourism services," said Anies at an event with the theme BUMD Synergy in the Context of Realizing Improved Business Performance and Accelerating the Realization of Regional Development Programs.
Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Herry Djufraini said, in line with developments entering the 4.0 era, Bank DKI realizes that the people of Jakarta or urban areas now need fast and practical services. "Therefore, we have a number of non-cash products and services that can accommodate this, one of which is JakCard," he said recently.
Jakcard itself is a prepaid card issued by Bank DKI as a non-cash payment tool. Residents can take advantage of the practicality of paying with JakCard, one of which is to pay for Transjakarta boarding tickets.
"It is necessary to admit that cashless payments have made it easier for people to make transactions, although there are still many who have not been able to give up the habit of paying with cash. However, as technology develops, some people have chosen to change direction, while others are still trying to live cashless, while still using cash," said Herry.
