Bank DKI Becomes the Best BPD in Supporting the Acceleration and Expansion of Regional Digitalization

Jakarta – The Task Force for the Acceleration and Expansion of Regional Digitalization (P2DD Task Force) confirmed Bank DKI as the Best Regional Development Bank (BPD) in Supporting the Acceleration and Expansion of Regional Digitalization in 2023. This title was received by Bank DKI at the 2023 P2DD National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) in Jakarta on Tuesday (03/10), which was also attended by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartanto, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Sri Mulyani, Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo, and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma'ruf Amin who were present online.

The P2DD Task Force evaluated the performance of TP2DD in 2022. As a result, the P2DD Task Force determined 15 (fifteen) Best Recipient Regional Governments (Pemda), 1 (one) Best Leading Regional Government and 1 (one) BPD that most supports P2DD. Bank DKI is the only BPD to receive this award.

Bank DKI Director of Technology & Operations and Acting Principal Director of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, said "The achievement of being the Best BPD is an important milestone in our digitalization transformation journey and is of course the essence of dedication and hard work in supporting digitalization in the regions, especially DKI Jakarta." said Amirul.

Amirul continued, Bank DKI is committed to continuing to innovate and be a reliable partner in supporting regional digitalization, one of which is by providing innovative digital banking solutions and providing added value for all stakeholders.

Bank DKI's support for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government includes electronifying the budget management of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Regional Work Units (SKPD), through the Cash Management System (CMS) service, so that the SKPD can monitor budget receipt and expenditure transaction activities on accounts easily, in real time and more accurately.

In line with that, in his remarks, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and also the Chair of the P2DD Task Force, Airlangga Hartanto, said "Almost all regional budgets (are managed) entirely by BPD, so it is important for BPD to provide services that support the digitization of regional taxes and levies. Therefore, digital banking with the Regional Government information system, BPD is important and this requires support from the OJK." explained Airlangga.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi said "We believe that digitalization is the key to accelerating regional economic growth. We will continue to work hard to expand the reach of digital services and invest in the latest technology to provide added value to the community and region." added Arie.

Including the development of the JakOne Mobile super app with a variety of features, starting from electronic account opening, transfers, payment of various bills including taxes and levies, QRIS scanning, to zakat and donations. Also JakCard, a prepaid smart card as a payment tool for integrated public transportation modes in Jakarta, such as Transjakarta, MRT, LRT, Airport Train/Railink, Jabodetabek Commuter Line, access to entrance tickets to a number of museums and tourist attractions managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and payment of certain toll roads. "Apart from that, Bank DKI is also developing the JakOne Abank application for MSMEs, as well as an online credit/financing application, with a digital lending application." closed Arie.
