Synergy between Bank DKI and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) DKI Jakarta Province, Encouraging the Utilization of Sharia Banking Products and Services
Jakarta, December 23 2024Jakarta – In order to expand the use of sharia banking products, Bank DKI together with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) DKI Jakarta Province agreed to establish cooperation, which was officially marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the Utilization of Sharia Banking Services and Products by the President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, and the General Chair of the MUI DKI Jakarta Province, K.H. Muhammad Faiz, in Jakarta on Monday (23/12).
Through the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, Bank DKI is ready to provide support for sharia banking transactions for the DKI Jakarta Province MUI, starting from Cash Management System (CMS) services for financial management, opening sharia-based Savings, Current and Deposit accounts, providing sharia financing products (iB), integrating MUI Member Cards with JakCard Jakarta Tourist Pass, digitizing sharia finance for MUI partners, Hajj and Umrah registration services, to education and financial literacy sharia.
The President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo said, "With the synergy with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) DKI Jakarta Province, it is possible for Bank DKI to reach more people and expand the benefits of sharia economics at all levels. Sharia economic development will be able to become the main pillar in building an inclusive, just and sustainable economy," said Agus.
In line with that, the General Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta Province MUI, K.H. Muhammad Faiz added, "This collaboration is a strategic step to strengthen synergy with Bank DKI in providing sharia-based services to the people. We are optimistic that this partnership will have a positive impact, both in the religious and social fields," he said.
Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, in a written statement said, "This collaboration is a concrete manifestation of Bank DKI's efforts to continue to improve innovative and inclusive sharia banking services. With this collaboration, we hope to expand the benefits of sharia financial services to the community and partners, especially those under the auspices of the DKI Jakarta Province MUI," concluded Arie.
Previously, in an effort to expand sharia financial services, Bank DKI had established partnerships with several institutions, including supporting the provision of banking services for PW Muhammadiyah DKI Jakarta, as well as partnering with the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) to encourage community empowerment through the JakOne Abank Mosque program.
