In the midst of economic uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Bank DKI's performance in the second quarter of 2020 was still well maintained. Several financial performance indicators recorded positive growth year-on-year (yoy). On the credit side, YoY recorded growth of 8.3% from IDR 29.53 trillion as of June 2019 to IDR 31.98 trillion as of June 2020. This was stated by the Director of MSE & Sharia Business Credit at Bank DKI, Babay Parid Wazdi in a written statement in Jakarta (5/8).
As is known, the government officially appointed Bank DKI as one of the BPDs that received funds amounting to IDR 2 trillion for the Acceleration of National Economic Recovery (PEN). This certainly provides sufficient space for Bank DKI to grow higher in 2020. "The funds will mainly be used for selective credit distribution to productive sectors such as SMEs, Commercial & Corporate," said Babay Parid who also doubles as Finance Director.
Babay Parid added, "business sectors that will be distributed include; the health sector including the pharmaceutical community, the food sector, the construction sector as well as other sectors such as kiosks under the guidance of Perumda Pasar Jaya and JakPreneur.
Bank DKI's Third Party Funds as of June 2020 were also recorded to have experienced growth of 5.3% from IDR 33.61 trillion as of June 2019 to IDR 35.40 trillion as of June 2020. Bank DKI is also continuing to strive to increase DPK by encouraging the use of the JakOne Mobile application. With JakOne Mobile, opening deposits & savings can be done without having to visit a Bank DKI service office.
As of June 2020, Bank DKI's total assets were recorded to have increased by 4.1% from IDR 45.63 trillion as of June 2019 to IDR 47.50 trillion as of June 2020. This increase in performance was also supported by well-maintained asset quality where as of June 2020, the gross NPL and Net NPL ratios were recorded at 3.54% and 0.86%, respectively. "Asset quality is also the focus of our attention so that in the midst of this pandemic we are able to record quality growth," added Babay Parid.
This good growth cannot be separated from the synergy & collaboration strategy between Bank DKI, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, BUMD-BUMD, working partners of DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and BUMD. Apart from that, in 2020 Bank DKI also received a prestigious award from Marketing Research Indonesia and Infobank as The Best Service Excellence for the 2019-2020 period in the Regional Development Bank category throughout Indonesia.
