Bank DKI Supports MartiPay Payment System by MRT Jakarta

Jakarta – As a form of synergy between BUMD DKI Jakarta in the transportation sector in Jakarta, Bank DKI supports the launch of MartiPay by MRT Jakarta as a non-cash payment option for MRT Jakarta transportation modes. Bank DKI's support is carried out through cooperation in co-branding Bank DKI's digital product, JakOne Pay to become MartiPay, which was officially launched to coincide with the HUB SPACE 2024 event which took place at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta on Friday (06/09). The launch was carried out by the Director of Technology & Operations, Amirul Wicaksono together with the Director of Business Development of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), Farchad Mahfud.

Director of Technology & Operations at Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, said at the launch, "By utilizing the existing digital product platform, JakOne Pay, Bank DKI provides the technological infrastructure and digital banking services needed to support MartiPay operations as an alternative digital payment that is integrated with the MyMRTJ application," he said.

In line with that, the President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, through an official statement, said, "Through this application, users can easily top-up balances, pay for tickets using QRIS, and monitor transaction history in one integrated platform, so it is hoped that it can increase comfort and make it easier to carry out daily mobility," explained Agus.

Bank DKI continues to strengthen its commitment in supporting digital transformation in the transportation sector which is realized through various synergies, starting from JakCard which can now be used as a card-based digital payment option on integrated transportation in DKI Jakarta, such as Transjakarta, Mikrotrans, MRT, LRT, Jabodebek Commuter Line, as well as payment for entrance tickets at several tourist attractions managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. To the synergy between Bank DKI and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Tourism and Creative Economy Department by presenting the Jakarta Tourist Pass as a digital solution based on electronic cards (JakCard) and applications (JakOne Pay), to support tourism in DKI Jakarta.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi added that this initiative is in line with Bank DKI's mission to accelerate digital transformation in various sectors, especially in the transportation sector. "In the future, we will continue to encourage innovation in our digital products, such as JakOne Pay and JakCard, to provide more practical, easy and safe digital payment options for the people of Jakarta. We are optimistic that this synergy with MRT Jakarta will have a positive impact on the experience of public transportation users and support the city of Jakarta in realizing a smart city ecosystem," stressed Arie.

PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Business Development Director, Farchad Mahfud said, "MartiPay is a new payment system option in the MRT Jakarta ecosystem that we present to the people of Jakarta, especially our customers. This synergy with Bank DKI answers the need for a payment system and tool for purchasing MRT Jakarta travel tickets that minimizes infrastructure maintenance and card availability," said Farchad.

"Through MartiPay, the public has easy access to one platform/application for various sources of funds in carrying out transactions at stations because its features are in line with community needs, such as top up balances, ticket payments via QR code, transaction payments via QRIS, and knowing transaction history," he added. Farchad hopes that the presence of MartiPay will further enhance the travel experience of Jakarta MRT service users.
