Ramadan Blessings, Bank DKI Distributes Compensation to 8,500 Orphans and Dhuafa

Jakarta - As a series of Ramadan Blessing activities carried out throughout the holy month of Ramadan 1446 H/2025 AD, Bank DKI again distributed compensation amounting to IDR 1.7 billion to 8,500 orphans and poor people. This assistance was symbolically provided by the Director of Finance & Strategy of Bank DKI, Romy Wijayanto, to representatives of children from 10 Orphan Foundations/Orphanages spread across five DKI Jakarta Administrative City Areas at Bank DKI Head Office, Jakarta (19/03).

Director of Finance & Strategy at Bank DKI, Romy Wijayanto, said that this activity was a form of the company's gratitude and concern for the community, especially orphans and poor people in need. "With gratitude for the presence of Allah SWT, we hope that this assistance can benefit orphans and the poor and bring blessings to all parties involved," said Romy.

Apart from providing compensation to orphans and poor people, Bank DKI also distributed educational assistance to 24 children of retired Bank DKI employees. In addition, through the Prosperous Pensioner Assistance (Probahtera) program, Bank DKI provides assistance to nine retired MSME actors as a form of MSME empowerment and appreciation for the contributions they have made to the company.

On the same occasion, Bank DKI also gave appreciation to five mosque marbots with prizes for Umrah pilgrimage trips to the Holy Land. Furthermore, Romy said that giving the Umrah gift to the marbot was an appreciation for the dedication he had given to the services of places of worship. "We want to share happiness with those who have dedicated themselves to making the mosque prosperous. Hopefully this Umrah trip will be a blessing for them," said Romy.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi said, the various forms of assistance that have been distributed by Bank DKI reflect the company's concern in contributing to society. "As DKI Jakarta BUMD, we have a responsibility to participate in helping people in need, both through social programs and supporting the government in various humanitarian initiatives," concluded Arie.

Flood Management CSR Program

Apart from social activities during the month of Ramadan, Bank DKI also shows its concern for residents affected by the flood disaster. Through the CSR program, Bank DKI has distributed aid in the form of ready-to-eat food and helped evacuate employees affected by the flood. As a concrete step in helping affected communities, Bank DKI distributed basic food packages, medicines and sanitation kits to Bekasi residents who experienced the most severe impacts of flooding in the Villa Nusa Indah area. Apart from that, in collaboration with the MSME Service, Bank DKI also distributed ready-to-eat food aid to 2,500 South Jakarta residents affected by the flood. Bank DKI also supports the DKI Jakarta provincial government's collaboration regarding flood management with the Bekasi City Government, in the form of providing 7,000 kg of basic food and rice packages in early March 2025. **
