Bank DKI Peduli Distributes Aid to Communities Affected by Floods in the Demak Area
Jakarta, April 03 2024Jakarta – As a form of response to post-flood disaster management in the Demak area and surrounding areas, Bank DKI Peduli handed over urgent assistance to residents in Prampelan Village, Sayung District, Demak. The delivery of aid in the form of logistics such as rice, basic food packages, cooking oil, sugar, instant noodles, baby necessities, blankets, anti-mosquito lotion, as well as other priority needs, was carried out through the Bank DKI Semarang Branch Office and received directly by the Head of Prampelan Village.
Through a written statement, the Director of Technology & Operations and Acting Director (Plt.) of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, said that this assistance was a form of concern from all Bank DKI employees. "Our hearts and prayers are with the refugees affected by the flood disaster. This assistance is provided as a form of corporate social responsibility to the affected communities, and will be distributed as soon as possible through representatives of the Bank DKI Semarang Branch Office closest to the location so that the distribution process can be accelerated," said Amirul.
For information, flooding in Demak Regency reached the worst level, affecting more than 93,000 people and resulting in widespread submergence of a number of areas and causing material and non-material losses for local residents and local infrastructure. Several sub-districts affected by the flood include Demak District, Karangtengah District, Sayung District, Mranggen District, Wonosalam District, Karanganyar District, Karangawen District, Kebonagung District, Guntur District, Dempet District, and Gajah District.
Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, on a different occasion added that through the Corporate Social Responsibility Program for Distribution of Assistance for Post-Flood Disaster Needs in the Demak Region, it is hoped that it can provide support for the recovery process to communities affected by the flood disaster in Demak Regency.
"It is hoped that the provision of CSR assistance to Prampelan Village will support post-disaster handling and recovery, as well as benefit the residents of Demak Regency, especially the residents of Prampelan, Demak Regency," said Arie.
