Implementing BUMD synergy in DKI Jakarta, Bank DKI President Director Zainuddin Mappa said that BUMD synergy has been the focus of Bank DKI for three years with a transaction value of up to IDR 3 trillion until 2019. "Until 2019, the transaction value was up to IDR 3 trillion, but transactions with all ecosystems are very large," said Zainuddin on the sidelines of the National Seminar on Regional Development Banks throughout Indonesia with the theme BUMD Synergy in Jakarta (22/2).
Zainuddin explained that the transaction value includes all synergy activities with 23 BUMDs with various types of business carried out by these BUMDs. "In the future, we will follow the planning carried out by each BUMD. For example, the MRT which will build the Ujung Menteng to Kalideres line, we will also invite other BPDs to participate through syndication, but the amount depends on how much funding is needed and the readiness of the BPD itself," said Zainuddin.
Furthermore, Zainuddin said that the types of synergy between Bank DKI and BUMD in Jakarta include synergy in the transportation sector by accommodating non-cash services with JakCard on TransJakarta, MRT, Railink and commuter lines. Then there is the synergy between BUMD in the food security sector with Food Station by providing Trader Cards at Cipinang Market, together with Pasar Jaya by providing Monas Savings for Grocery Business.
Then, there is a synergy between BUMD in the Tourism Sector with PT Jakarta Tourisindo to utilize banking services and hotel services by providing financing access facilities and e-channel services such as the Cash Management System (CMS), banking facility services in the form of opening savings, deposit and checking accounts as well as providing Multi-Purpose Credit and Home Ownership Credit (KPR) facilities to PT Jakarta Tourisindo employees.
A number of BUMD synergies that have been carried out by Bank DKI have received appreciation from the Financial Services Authority. In fact, the OJK is encouraging Bank DKI to continue developing the synergy of Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) so that in the future it can become a model for other Regional Development Banks (BPD). "We appreciate that it was started by Bank DKI which built synergy well. We invite other BPD friends to imitate DKI so that synergy in the regions can develop in their respective regions," said OJK Deputy Commissioner for Banking Supervision IV, Achmad Soekro Tratmono.
