Bank DKI Distributes Social Assistance in Seribu Islands
Jakarta, August 02 2024Jakarta – Bank DKI is again carrying out its role as facilitator of the social welfare program of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov), through the distribution of Jakarta Children's Cards (KAJ), Jakarta Persons with Disabilities Cards (KPDJ), and Jakarta Elderly Cards (KLJ), which was carried out on Pramuka Island, Seribu Islands on Friday (02/08). During this event, Bank DKI also provided education to the public regarding how to use the card and it was hoped that this could help beneficiaries to maximize the use of the assistance provided.
The President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, in his official statement said, "Bank DKI continues to support the social welfare programs launched by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. The distribution of KAJ, KPDJ and KLJ is a concrete form of Bank DKI's commitment to ensure that all levels of society, including those in the archipelago, have equal access to these programs," said Agus. The total number of recipients who will be distributed on Thousand Islands is 221 recipients, consisting of KAJ with 56 recipients, KLJ with 148 recipients, and KPDJ with 17 recipients.
Previously, Bank DKI distributed social assistance cards to beneficiaries in stages in several areas of Jakarta from 23 to 23. 31 July 2024, namely the Central Jakarta area was distributed to 1,346 KAJ recipients, 5 KPDJ recipients, and 5 KLJ recipients, and the West Jakarta area was distributed to 830 KAJ recipients, 5 KLJ recipients and 5 KPDJ recipients. Until the period June 2024, Social Assistance for Fulfilling Basic Needs (PKD) has been distributed in 2 (two) stages, namely Phase I distributed to 52,135 KLJ recipients, 6,475 KPDJ recipients, and 4,800 KAJ, Phase II distributed to 90,743 KLJ recipients, 11,099 KPDJ recipients, 8,807 KAJ recipients.
Agus further emphasized Bank DKI's support to continue to strive to provide inclusive financial support for the community, including in the Thousand Islands region. "Bank DKI presents the digital island concept through support for digitalization of MSMEs. With a choice of products and support for digital banking facilities such as JakOne Mobile, we hope to provide convenience and comfort for all customers in accessing our banking services," he explained.
For recipients who received funds in the previous year but did not receive them this year, they can check the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) via the website https://dtks.jakarta.go.id/, or submit a complaint to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service.
Present as a Digital Solution

Not only that, previously Bank DKI also inaugurated the MSME Village located on Pramuka Island, which is one of Bank DKI's Social Responsibility programs, by restructuring and localizing MSME traders, including digitalization support for MSMEs as Bank DKI merchants and being able to access digital payments - QRIS to receive various electronic payments from customers and increase the efficiency of daily transactions of MSME traders.
Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, added that with various initiatives such as distribution of assistance cards, education on card use, and support for digitalization of MSMEs, Bank DKI is trying to ensure that every level of society, including the Thousand Islands community, can experience the benefits and convenience of various banking services, he concluded.
