JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, appreciates Bank DKI's steps in becoming the leader of the credit and financing syndication provided to PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) for ultra-micro business actors. The credit and financing syndication involves 20 institutions including 18 BPD, 1 Private Bank and BPKH with a value of up to IDR 4 trillion. Consisting of a maximum of IDR 2.2 trillion for conventional credit and IDR 1.8 trillion for sharia financing. "This has a value of 4 trillion. If you imagine that the recipient of this capital per business unit is between IDR 2-5 million, then we are talking about up to 2 million business units being facilitated through this financing," said Anies Baswedan at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (2/12/2021). Anies hopes that the credit and financing syndication can accelerate the recovery of the economy affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. "So, the ultra micro, micro and small business sectors can quickly get capital assistance. "We witnessed so many banks working together. Bank DKI, which is the coordinator in this process, is taking quite good breakthrough steps," he said. Anies confirmed that the credit and financing syndication adheres to the principle of giving small opportunities to become big without having to reduce those concerned. By involving many financial managers, said Anies Baswedan, Bank DKI can help grow ultra micro, micro and small business actors through the PNM Mekaar and ULaMM programs." "What's unique here is not about the PNM. Because this has been around for 22 years. What's unique here is because it is a syndication of so many banks, working together, distributing this in coordination with Bank DKI, then reaching the common people. So, this is what is called using market mechanisms to bring about social justice," he explained. In this syndication, Bank DKI was appointed as the Mandated Lead Arranger as well as the Facility Agent, Guarantee Agent and Escrow Agent. Arnaldy together with the Director of Finance of Bank DKI, Romy Wijayanto, Director of MSE & Sharia Business Credit of Bank DKI, Babay Parid Wazdi, Director of Institutions and Planning of PT Permodalan Nasional Madani, Sunar Basuki together with the Business Director of PT Permodalan Nasional Madani, Kindaris and representatives of creditors participating in the syndication witnessed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Rasyid Baswedan, Plt. Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Owned Enterprise Development Agency, Riyadi and Head of the Economic and Financial Bureau of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary, Muhammad Abas in Jakarta, (02/12). Main Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy, said that the signing of this syndicated credit agreement could be one of the stimuli for economic growth in the country during this pandemic. According to him, this syndication is also in line with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's hope that Bank DKI can become a facilitator of economic growth for the people of DKI Jakarta by serving more than 100 thousand MSEs in DKI Jakarta and via a Bank Agent (JakOne Abank) towards Digital MSMEs in the future. PT PNM Institutional and Planning Director, Sunar Basuki, revealed that this credit and financing syndication will be passed on to participants in the Mekaar program, namely a capital loan service for underprivileged women who are ultra-micro entrepreneurs and UlaMM, which is a capital loan service for micro and small businesses with direct financing for individuals and business entities. According to him, PNM has accommodated 10.8 million ultra-micro, micro and small business actors throughout Indonesia with actual distribution as of November 30 reaching IDR 100.86 trillion. With this financing, he continued, the PNM Mekaar and ULaMM programs are expected to be able to help develop the businesses of PNM-assisted MSMEs and be able to help drive the national economy for underprivileged women and MSMEs. *
