Bank DKI Employees Donate Covid-19 Care Total IDR 5 Billion

Bank DKI distributed humanitarian aid worth a total of IDR 5 billion to support handling COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta. This assistance consists of participation in the Large-Scale Social Collaboration (KSBB) program worth IDR 2.25 billion, provision of Personal Protective Equipment worth IDR 844.5 million and medical team humanitarian assistance amounting to IDR 638 million. Previously, Bank DKI had also implemented various CSR programs amounting to IDR 1.3 billion to handle Covid-19. The aid was handed over symbolically from the President Director of Bank DKI, Zainuddin Mappa to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan in Jakarta (18/05).
Zainuddin Mappa explained that the donation came from employee donations, Bank DKI Peduli, Bank DKI's CSR budget and Bank DKI's Zakat Service Unit. For KSBB it comes from employee donations, the provision of Personal Protective Equipment comes from Bank DKI Peduli which is collected from the concerns of customers and also Bank DKI employees through the Bank DKI Zakat Service Unit, while the medical team's food aid comes from Bank DKI's CSR budget.
Regarding Bank DKI's participation in KSBB, Rp. 2.25 billion will be handed over to Rumah Zakat and Baznas DKI Jakarta, amounting to Rp. 1.12 billion each. Regarding the handover of PPE, Zainuddin explained that the aid would be handed over to medical personnel at 15 DKI Jakarta Regional Hospitals. The hospitals that receive CSR assistance from Bank DKI include Cengkareng Regional Hospital, Pasar Minggu Regional Hospital, Tarakan Regional Hospital, Duren Sawit Regional Hospital, Koja Regional Hospital, Tanah Abang Regional Hospital, Tugu Koja Regional Hospital, Kalideres Regional Hospital, Kembangan Regional Hospital, Jati Padang Regional Hospital, Kramat Jati Regional Hospital, Sawah Besar Regional Hospital, Pasar Rebo Regional Hospital, Budhi Asih Regional Hospital, Seribu Islands Regional Hospital.
The PPE assistance in total consists of 3,750 PPE clothes and masks each, 450 pieces of protective glasses, hand gloves and face shields each, 750 jirigans of hand sanitizer. He said that the PPE provided was in accordance with applicable health standards.
Meanwhile, humanitarian assistance for the Covid-19 medical team is a form of synergy between Bank DKI and Jakarta Tourisindo. This consumption was given to medical personnel staying at the Grand Cempaka Hotel. This consumption assistance was provided to Jakarta Tourisindo in April 2020.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic began, Bank DKI has implemented various CSR programs worth IDR 1.3 billion, including the construction of hand washing sinks with PAM Jaya in the DKI Jakarta area, providing personal protective equipment (PPE) to medical personnel at Cengkareng Regional Hospital and Tidung Island Regional Hospital, providing laptops to the medical team, providing basic food packages to Jakarta residents, printing 1,730 communication materials in the form of posters, banners and X-banners with the theme "Preventing the Spread of the Covid-19 Virus" in synergy with DKI Communication and Information Department, printing 35,000 (thirty five thousand) communication materials in the form of socialization posters regarding the Governor of DKI Jakarta's Call Number 9 of 2020 regarding the use of masks to prevent the transmission of Covid-19, printing 3,000 (three thousand) RT/RW Handbooks for Covid-19 Pandemic Alert for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and providing basic necessities for Bank DKI employees & retirees and the community. In the future, Bank DKI will also hand over hand washing soap to residents of Flats and Donations for orphans in Jakarta.
Currently, Bank DKI is still opening opportunities for DKI Jakarta residents, especially customers who want to participate in supporting the handling of Covid-19 through Bank DKI Peduli with accounts 101.20.12345.5 and 701.07.00003.0 for Bank DKI Syariah accounts. "We hope that this assistance can speed up the handling of Covid-19 in DKI Jakarta," concluded Zainuddin.
