Bank Jakarta Wins 2026 KEJAR Award as Best KEJAR Implementation Bank (Regional Development Bank Category – Java-Bali Region)

Bekasi – Bank Jakarta has won the 2026 KEJAR Award as the Best KEJAR Implementation Bank in the Regional Development Bank (BPD) category for the Java-Bali region. The award recognizes the bank's contributions to expanding access to financial services and enhancing financial literacy and inclusion among students. Bank Jakarta was also a finalist in the category of Most Active Bank in Implementing the "Bank Goes to School" program.

The award was received personally by Bank Jakarta President Director Agus H. Widodo during the peak event of "Indonesia Saves Day" (Hari Indonesia Menabung) and Financial Literacy Month 2026, organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) at SMA Negeri 13 Bekasi on Friday (August 28).

Agus H. Widodo stated that the 2026 KEJAR Award serves as both an appreciation and a source of motivation for Bank Jakarta to continue expanding access and improving financial understanding among students from an early age. These efforts are realized, in part, through the SimPel (Student Savings) product—a savings account designed to support financial education and inclusion while fostering a culture of saving early on.

Agus added that Bank Jakarta would continue to strengthen collaboration with various stakeholders—including local governments, the OJK, and educational institutions—to expand the use of financial services among students.

Meanwhile, Bank Jakarta Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi noted that the 2026 KEJAR Award reflects the bank's consistency in expanding access to financial services while simultaneously building saving habits and financial management awareness among students. "For Bank Jakarta, the KEJAR Program is not merely about account ownership; it is about cultivating the habit of saving and enhancing students' understanding of the importance of financial management from an early age," said Arie.

Notably, at the same event, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also received an award for the Best KEJAR Implementation Region at the provincial level for the Java-Bali region. Furthermore, SLBN 02 Jakarta—a partner of Bank Jakarta—was named a finalist in the category of Special Needs Schools with the Best KEJAR Implementation. These achievements further reinforce Bank Jakarta’s commitment to fostering financial literacy and inclusion through various educational programs aimed at the younger generation, particularly students.
