Supporting the Acceleration of Economic Recovery, the Government Places IDR 2 Trillion in Bank DKI

The Central Government has officially appointed Bank DKI as one of the BPDs that received funds amounting to IDR 2 trillion for the Acceleration of National Economic Recovery. Signing of the cooperation agreement by the President Director of Bank DKI, Zainuddin Mappa with the Director General of Treasury of the Ministry of Finance, Andin Hadyanto and witnessed by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Sri Mulyani and the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan in Jakarta, (27/7).
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati explained that the placement of funds in BPD was a continuation of the central government after previously placing funds in 4 Himbara Banks amounting to IDR 30 trillion, in accordance with Minister of Finance Regulation Number 70 of 2020 concerning the Placement of State Money in Commercial Banks in the Context of Accelerating National Economic Recovery which is part of the policy in handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Herry Djufraini, in his written statement said, "as an agent of development, Bank DKI has a role in economic development in DKI Jakarta. Therefore, we would like to thank the central government, especially the ministry of finance, which has entrusted Bank DKI. We plan to use these funds to distribute credit to the productive sector so that it can encourage economic growth."
"Bank DKI has made a number of efforts including providing a credit relaxation policy for the business sector affected by Covid-19. The relaxation provided to debtors includes micro, small and consumer credit. Bank DKI has also deferred loan principal and reduced interest rates. We all defer loan principal for a period of six months, but every three months we will review it again," concluded Herry.
