Jakarta - Realizing the synergy of the Indonesian Regional Development Bank (SI), Bank DKI and Bank NTT signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on digital payments through co-branding of electronic money and digital applications. The MoU was signed by the Director of Technology and Operations of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono and the Main Director of Bank NTT, Harry Alexander Riwu Kaho. The signing was also witnessed by the Director of Retail & Sharia at Bank DKI, Babay Parid Wazdi and the Director of Credit at Bank NTT, Paulus Stefen Messakh. This was conveyed by the Corporate Secretary of Bank DKI, Herry Djufraini in Jakarta (24/5).
Furthermore, in the future Bank DKI will support Bank NTT in implementing non-cash transactions using the digital ecosystem owned by Bank DKI as well as the branding chosen by Bank NTT. Apart from that, Bank NTT can use digital platforms or Bank DKI's E-channel products which will be integrated with JakCard as Bank DKI's prepaid card. It can be used by various merchants who have collaborated with Bank NTT and vice versa. "This collaboration further encourages the expansion of the application of non-cash transactions throughout Indonesia, and it is hoped that it can provide economic improvements in various sectors," said Herry Djufraini.
For your information, the development of Bank DKI's JakCard electronic money card began in 2007 when the JakCard permit was first issued. Until 2021, JakCard can be used to meet the non-cash transaction needs of its users, such as transportation tickets for the MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, Transjakarta, Railink and the Mikrotrans network. Apart from that, JakCard can also be used as an entrance ticket to various tourist locations and for payments to various merchants. JakCard's performance until 2021 alone has reached 3.8 million cards in circulation with a transaction volume reaching 10.5 billion rupiah.
The various collaborations that Bank DKI is exploring with a number of BPDs are not only a form of implementing BPD SI synergy but also a sign of trust in Bank DKI's technological capacity. "Bank DKI also continues to strive to provide digital ecosystem services or e-channels to encourage the implementation of non-cash transactions in various communities in DKI Jakarta through JakOne Community Apps such as JakOne Erte, JakOne Artri, and Ancol Apps. In the future, Bank DKI will continue to innovate digital banking services such as JakOne Pay and JakSchool," concluded Herry Djufraini.
