DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and Bank DKI Launch Jakarta Children's Card

As a form of support for early childhood development, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and Bank DKI launched the Jakarta Children's Card (KAJ). The symbolic launch of KAJ was carried out by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service, Premi Lasari and Director of MSE Credit & Sharia Business, Babay Parid Wazdi in Jakarta (26/03).
Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service, Premi Lasari, said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government together with Bank DKI distributed the Jakarta Children's Card (KAJ) for children aged 0 to 6 years. The aim of the KAJ program is to meet basic needs for children, such as meeting children's nutritional needs for milk, nutritious food, and other supporting needs that support the development of children aged 0 to 6 years. "This assistance is in the form of cash amounting to IDR 300 thousand for 1 year which can be disbursed via Bank DKI ATMs."
The KAJ recipients are spread across the DKI Jakarta Province with a total of 9,531 children receiving in 2021 with a budget of more than IDR 34 billion. The implementation of the KAJ distribution will be carried out in stages in the DKI Jakarta Province area starting in March 2021. "It is hoped that the distribution of the KAJ program can be completed in the 4th week of April 2021," said Premi.
KAJ recipients in the first quarter of 2021 will be given social assistance funds of IDR 900 thousand/child for 3 months (January to March). The next disbursement of funds will be carried out every month in the amount of IDR 300 thousand and will last for 1 year.
Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Herry Djufraini said, "Apart from receiving regular social assistance, holders of the Elderly Card (KLJ), Jakarta Persons with Disabilities Card (KPDJ), and Jakarta Children's Card (KAJ) also have other benefits in the form of free Transjakarta rides, ease of buying subsidized food, and being automatically registered as JakGrosir members."
Herry further appealed to KAJ or KJP and KPDJ customers to always be careful and alert, and not to give PINs to other unauthorized people. He also reminded KAJ customers to always apply health protocols by wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining distance when withdrawing funds at Bank DKI ATMs.
To make it easier to monitor transactions, Herry appealed to guardians of KAJ holders to download the JakOne Mobile application. "Through JakOne Mobile, KAJ holders can monitor incoming and outgoing transactions and carry out various non-cash banking transactions through the Scan to Pay feature," concluded Herry.
