Bank DKI Establishes Regional Development Bank Collaboration with Bank Maluku Malut

Jakarta, 27 September 2022 - In order to comply with Financial Services Authority regulations regarding Commercial Bank Consolidation, PT Bank DKI is carrying out synergy and collaboration with PT Bank Maluku Malut. The symbolic cooperation was carried out through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the DKI Jakarta City Hall carried out by the Main Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy and the Main Director of Bank Maluku Malut, Syahrisal Imbar and witnessed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Rasyid Baswedan, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, Governor of Maluku, Murad Ismail, PJ. Regent of Central Maluku, Muhamat Marasabesy, Deputy Commissioner for Banking Supervision II Financial Services Authority, Bambang Widjanarko, Head of Financial Services Authority Regional Office 1 DKI Jakarta & Banten, Roberto Akyuwen, Head of Financial Services Authority Regional Office 6 Sulawesi Maluku Papua, Darisman, Head of Maluku Financial Services Authority, Roni Nazra, along with all officials of the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, the Board of Directors of Bank DKI and BUMD DKI Jakarta.
The President Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy, in his speech said, "This BPD collaboration is an effort to strengthen the structure, resilience and competitiveness of regional banking, so that it is able to support economic stability and growth, as well as an effort to encourage BPD to reach a more efficient level towards a higher economic scale, so that the bank is not only strong in the domestic sphere, but also competitive in the regional and international sphere."
Fidri said, "Through the Regional Development Bank collaboration, God willing, there will be many benefits that can be developed, including strengthening technological infrastructure, making it more efficient and highly competitive, thus providing competitive advantage, including, among other things, Co Branding collaboration in the form of digital banking e-channel (JakCard, Jakone Mobile, Jakone Pay/digital lending, and CMS) as well as increasing the competitiveness of BPD through accelerating business growth both in terms of funding and lending."
Through this collaboration, it will also increase the potential for business matching that can be carried out through the ecosystem of each BUMD, such as expanding the business ecosystem and fulfilling supplies in the regions, including the tourism/tourism sector, food, as well as empowering MSMEs in each region and BUMD Collaboration between regions, marked by various opportunities for the Bank's regional government to collaborate in realizing food security, providing space for BUMDs to be able to support regional and national economic stability and growth.
As is known, in the midst of economic conditions that have not yet fully recovered, in 2021 and the first semester of 2022 Bank DKI was able to record positive performance growth and was above the national banking average growth. It was noted that based on the financial report for the August 2022 period, Bank DKI succeeded in recording profit growth of 33.5% Yoy to IDR 669 billion from the previous IDR 501 billion in the August 2021 period. Bank DKI also recorded credit growth of 23.6% in the August 2022 period to IDR 44.5 trillion compared to the August 2021 period of IDR 36.0 trillion. Apart from credit, Bank DKI also managed to record growth in Third Party Funds (DPK) of 37.0% (yoy) from IDR 44.95 trillion in the second quarter of 2021 to IDR 60.73 trillion in the second quarter of 2022. Bank DKI's assets were also recorded to have increased by 31.0% in the August 2022 period to IDR 74.4 trillion compared to the previous period of IDR 56.8 trillion.

Apart from that, Bank DKI also succeeded in obtaining a number of important certifications, namely SNI ISO 37001:2016 Certification concerning Anti-Bribery Management Systems issued by TUV Nord Indonesia (an International Certification Body from Germany which is recognized by the National Accreditation Committee) and ISO 27001:2013 Certification concerning Information Security Management Systems for the SuperApps JakOne Mobile Service issued by TUV Rheinland Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Main Director of Bank Maluku Malut, Syahrisal Imbar said, "This collaboration is an advanced and tactical step in efforts to fulfill regulations in accordance with the Indonesian Banking Architecture (API), where the Financial Services Authority (OJK) through Financial Services Authority Regulation number 12/POJK.03/2020 dated 16 March 2020 concerning Commercial Bank Consolidation. We are very grateful for the extraordinary support from the Governor of Maluku, Mr Inspector General Pol. (Ret.) Drs. Murad Ismail as controlling shareholder, all other shareholders as well as support, guidance and direction from the Maluku Provincial Financial Services Authority, Regional Financial Services Authority 6 - Makassar and Regional Financial Services Authority 1 - Jakarta so that this collaboration can begin with the signing of the MoU."
He added, "After signing the MoU, there are still stages that must be carried out, namely the need for approval from the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS), changes to the Company's Articles of Association, then there needs to be DPRD approval in the form of Regional Regulations and the final step requires signing a binding cooperation agreement. Currently, Bank Maluku Malut's performance is very good, as shown among other things by main financial performance such as a CAR ratio of 27.68%, ROA ratio of 2.99%, ROE ratio of 16.73%, BOPO ratio of 70.83%, a controlled net NPL ratio of 0.77% and an LDR ratio of 77.98%, the Bank's Soundness Level with a composite rating value of 2 and the results of the audit of the Financial Report of PT Maluku Malut by the Public Accounting Firm with an Unqualified Report (WTP) opinion."
"The signing of the collaborative MoU between Bank DKI and Bank Maluku Malut certainly does not escape the role, support, synergy and collaboration between the Governor of DKI Jakarta, the Governor of Maluku and the Governor of North Maluku as Controlling Shareholders in both banks.
