Bank DKI Director of Finance & Strategy, Romy Wijayanto Wins Indonesia Best CFO Awards 2024

Jakarta – Bank DKI Director of Finance & Strategy, Romy Wijayanto won the award as Best Performance Chief Financial Officer in Strategy Roadmap Implementation to Achieve Sustainable Financial Performance Goals, (Category: Regional Bank), and is one of the 16 (sixteen) best Finance Directors/Chief Financial Officers (CFO) from various industries. This title was given by the Warta Ekonomi Group at the Warta Ekonomi Indonesia Best CFO Awards 2024, which was held in Jakarta on Thursday (25/01). The award received is also the second award that Romy has received, at the same event for 2 years in a row.

CEO & Chief Editor of Warta Ekonomi Group, Muhamad Ihsan, explained that this award was a form of appreciation for Finance Directors for their role and contribution in leadership and business innovation as well as providing a significant positive stimulus for Indonesia's economic growth. The theme of the Indonesia Best CFO Awards 2024 is Strengthening Budget Efficiency to Maintain Financial Stability.

"CFOs must always follow developments, one of the things that is a point of concern for the industry at the global level is the issue of sustainable economics. A CFO must be committed to the company to support every green economy effort and initiative related to ESG (environment, social, governance) in order to realize environmentally friendly corporate governance. On the other hand, the CFO must be a driving force for innovation and become a value driver in business development that integrates with technological developments," said Ihsan.

Ihsan continued, the Warta Ekonomi research team used several approaches to categorize the best CFOs, namely desk research, media monitoring and expert panels. The main aspects assessed include the financial performance of the relevant company based on the 2020-2022 annual report or 2021-2023 financial report published by the company, including asset growth, revenue growth, profit growth, Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Investment (ROI), Cash Ratio, Current Ratio, Own Capital to Total Assets Ratio as well as company strategic policies that consider the implementation of a flexible financial model, sustainable business innovation, risk mitigation and stakeholder engagement, and community social empowerment.

Bank DKI Finance Director, Romy Wijayanto expressed his appreciation for the award given and also dedicated it to Shareholders, Authorities, customers and work partners who continue to place their trust in Bank DKI. Romy also mentioned that since 2021 Bank DKI has implemented the 5.0 Transformation Program with the main foundation for improvements in the areas of Human Capital, Organization and Culture, Digital & Operations accompanied by business pillars that support various Provincial Government Programs consisting of Lending, Funding, Ecosystem, all of which are framed by improvements to Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) which are expected to create sustainable performance with a "Walk the Talk" culture.
