Supporting Sharia Economic Development, UUS Bank DKI Presents Al-Qur'an Mushaf

Supporting the development of sharia economics and finance in Indonesia, Bank DKI through the Sharia Business Unit became the first bank to publish Mushaf Al-Qur'an Maqashid Syariah. The compilation of the Al-Qur'an Mushaf was written by the Sharia Supervisory Board of Bank DKI and is equipped with themes of economics, sharia finance and is accompanied by authentic hadith about muamalah, fiqhiyah rules and fatwas from the MUI National Sharia Council. "It is hoped that the preparation of this Al-Qur'an Mushaf can be a contribution from Bank DKI to the country," said Bank DKI Retail and Sharia Director, Babay Parid Wazdi at the launch of the Al-Quran Mushaf at the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta (22/04).

On this occasion, the Director of Retail and Sharia at Bank DKI, Babay Parid Wazdi, handed over a copy of the Al-Qur'an to the DKI Jakarta People's Welfare Assistant, Uus Kuswanto, witnessed by the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque, KH. Nasaruddin Umar and Acting Head of BP BUMD DKI Jakarta, Budi Purnama. The event was also attended by a number of DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officials, as well as the Directors of Bank DKI and BUMD DKI Jakarta.

Babay Parid further said that Bank DKI's support for the launch of the Mushaf Al-Qur'an Maqashid Syariah was a form of Bank DKI's concern for the development of sharia finance in Indonesia. According to him, the Maqashid Al-Qur'an Mushaf is one of the efforts to introduce sharia finance to the wider community. He hopes that the Mushaf of the Qur'an can contribute to the knowledge of sharia economics and finance and become a reference for the world of education. "We encourage society to implement these verses, that there is a priority in doing business. The Prophet Muhammad SAW, for example, since he was a child, did business in accordance with Islamic sharia," said Babay Parid.

The distribution of the Al-Qur'an Mushaf is carried out in collaboration with the Global Spirit of Ummah Foundation as the waqf holder and will be distributed throughout Indonesia. For people who wish to donate to the foundation, fill out the form online by filling in their name, address, number of orders and nominal value to be donated. Payments for Al-Qur'an waqf can be made via the QRIS JakOne Mobile Bank DKI which has been provided or other applications that are members of the QRIS Indonesia network. On this occasion, Bank DKI also distributed a CSR program in the form of providing compensation to 1,000 orphans assisted by the Istiqlal Mosque.

Digitalization of Mosque Community Finances

Babay Parid said that apart from publishing the Al-Qur'an manuscripts, his party also supports the non-cash payment system through Bank DKI's QRIS at various mosques in DKI Jakarta, including the Istiqlal Mosque. By becoming a QRIS Bank DKI partner, mosques that collaborate with Bank DKI can make managing congregational financial transactions easier. Mosque administrators can monitor payment transactions and financial transactions in real time and online. From the congregation's side, infaq and alms payments are made non-cash so the congregation only needs to use their smartphone to make payments and they automatically go into the mosque account.

People who want to do charity or donate can use the scan to pay method using the JakOne Mobile application. Simply open the JakOne Mobile application then select "Scan To Pay" and the user will automatically be directed to enter the desired amount for the donation account. Charity payment methods or donations via the QRIS scanning method can be done on a QR code with the QRIS logo. Currently, Bank DKI has provided QR Codes for more than 2,928 mosques spread across various areas in Jakarta.
