Supporting Financial Digitalization, Bank DKI Present at FEKDI in 2023
Jakarta, May 10 2023Jakarta – Bank DKI shows its support for the digital financial inclusion program launched by the Government, by participating in the 2023 Indonesian Digital Financial Economy Festival (FEKDI) which will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center on 8 – 10 May 2023.
Bank DKI President Director, Fidri Arnaldy said that Bank DKI is fully committed to encouraging digitalization in the financial sector for financial inclusion. "As a BUMD, Bank DKI carries out its role as a collaborator on economic growth, especially for DKI Jakarta, which we realize through the development and innovation of digital-based products and services to expand the accessibility of financial products and services to the public." said Fidri in the 2023 FEKDI opening ceremony at the Jakarta Convention Center on Monday (08/05/2023).
Fidri further added that in the momentum of the company's transformation, Bank DKI is actively presenting digital-based product and service innovations through synergy and collaboration as an effort to realize the Transformation Towards a Digital Ecosystem and encourage Jakarta's Success for Indonesia. The event was also attended by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, and the Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo.
FEKDI 2023 was initiated by Bank Indonesia together with the Ministry of Economy, with the theme "Synergy and Innovation of Digital Economy: Fostering Growth". FEKDI 2023 is part of a series of events for the 2023 ASEAN Indonesia Chairmanship in the financial segment, providing a showcase for product and service innovation as well as digital economic and financial policy synergy, in order to accelerate national economic recovery. This is in line with the digital economy priority agenda in Indonesia's chairmanship of ASEAN 2023, which focuses on progressing payment system connectivity, literacy and digital financial inclusion to support inclusive economic growth.
On the same occasion, the Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo, said that through FEKDI 2023, each party would strengthen the acceleration of synergy and innovation towards an advanced Indonesia. Perry invites all people to participate in digital transformation to encourage Indonesia's economic growth. "Bank Indonesia is committed to making the payment system ecosystem the epicenter of Indonesia's digital financial economy, through the Indonesian Payment System Blueprint (BSPI). The presence of QRIS, BI-FAST, and the National Open API Standard (SNAP) unites one homeland and language of payment connectivity, and in the spirit of one Indonesian nation through consolidation between the payment and e-commerce industries to form a digital nation." Perry said.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, also said that Indonesia has significant digital economic potential, marked by the value of the digital economy in 2022 which will reach USD 77 billion or grow 22% (yoy) and is projected to almost double to USD 130 billion in 2025. For this reason, the Government is deemed to need to encourage various efforts to accelerate the potential of the digital economy through various policy innovations. "What we need to remember is that the next 10 to 13 years are a very important momentum for Indonesia because the demographic bonus will only last until 2038," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
In the second day of the FEKDI 2023 event series (09/052023), a talk show entitled "Bank DKI Go Digital Supports the Acceleration of MSMEs" was also held which presented the Director of Technology & Operations of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono as a panelist along with the Deputy Director of Bank Indonesia, Himawan Kusprianto and the Director of Property & Markets at Perumda Pasar Jaya, Aristianto.
For information, based on actual data for the period 2023 to March, the number of users of the JakOne Mobile Bank DKI application reached 2.04 million people, growing 19.06% (yoy) compared to the same period in 2021, with a transaction volume of 5.91 million transactions and nominal transactions reaching IDR 5.79 trillion.
Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, explained that the digital products owned by Bank DKI are well known and accepted by the wider community. "One of the superior digital products is the JakOne Mobile application which is a mobile banking as well as a mobile wallet, with services ranging from paying various bills and online shopping, QRIS scanning transactions, topping up electronic money balances, giving alms and donations, paying taxes and levies, to opening deposits and savings accounts online. One of the newest features is Mobile Cash for cardless cash withdrawal transactions at Bank DKI ATMs and ATMs of other collaborating banks, such as BCA, BNI, CIMB Niaga with the Prima logo." explained Arie.
Arie further added that in encouraging digitalization, Bank DKI is also making various efforts, including integrated payment electronification in transportation modes, tourist attractions managed by the DKI Provincial Government, digitalization of market payments managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya, to various collaborations with BPD and BUMD and other entities, concluded Arie.
