Bank DKI Wins Best BPD Predicate from the Ministry of Home Affairs

Jakarta – Bank DKI was named one of the Best Regional Development Banks (BPD) in 2023 by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) at the 2023 Best BUMD Awards in Jakarta on Friday (29/09). More specifically, Bank DKI succeeded in receiving an award as Rank II (Two) Regional Development Bank in the "Large Category" and competed directly with the other best BPDs in Indonesia.

Director of Technology & Operations and Acting Principal Director of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, who received the award directly, believes that the award received is a valuable appreciation for Bank DKI's efforts and dedication in playing an active role in improving the optimization of public services and supporting economic growth in DKI Jakarta. "Implementing business strategy and technological innovation is a concrete step for Bank DKI to provide the best service to the community, as well as playing an active role in advancing the regional economy through support for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's work program as the controlling shareholder of Bank DKI." said Amirul.

A form of Bank DKI's support for various programs of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov), including the distribution of social assistance, such as the distribution and management of Jakarta Smart Card accounts, the Jakarta Excellent Student Card. More than that, through the products and services owned by Bank DKI, it also seeks to provide convenience for the people of DKI Jakarta, for example JakCard as a prepaid smart card which can be used as a means of payment on various integrated modes of public transportation in Jakarta, such as Transjakarta, MRT, LRT, to the Airport Train/Railink, access to entrance tickets to a number of museums and tourist attractions managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and payment of certain toll roads. Apart from that, Bank DKI also facilitates the payment of taxes and levies through features in the JakOne Mobile application, as well as motor vehicle taxes using the Samsat Online Delivery (Si-Ondel) application which is also connected to the JakOne Mobile application.

For information, the 2023 BUMD Awards are an appreciation given by the Ministry of Home Affairs to Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) with the best performance, especially their role in improving public services, handling inflation and economic growth. In his remarks, the Director General of Regional Financial Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs, DR. Agus Fatoni said the aim of holding the BUMD Awards by the Ministry of Home Affairs was to provide an assessment of BUMDs, in the form of governance, creating a competitive climate between BUMDs, providing motivation to local governments in providing guidance to BUMDs.
