With JakMob, Bank DKI supports free public transportation in Jakarta

Jakarta - Supporting the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's program of free public transportation for 15 groups of Jakarta residents, Bank DKI issues the Jakarta Free Access Mobility Card or JakMob which is integrated with various modes of transportation, starting from Transjakarta, MikroTrans (Jaklingko), LRT, MRT, to Commuter Line or KRL. The launch of the JakMob Card was carried out on the sidelines of integrated connectivity infrastructure in the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta, which was attended by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung. On this occasion, Pramono symbolically gave JakMob cards to 15 groups of recipients of free public transportation services.

Pramono Anung said "Today I am declaring for 15 groups of society that we will liberate or make it free." Those included in the 15 groups are DKI Jakarta Provincial Civil Servants, ASN retirees, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government contract workers, KJP Plus recipient students, Rusunawa residents, and the PKK Mobilization Team or Lark Monitoring Officers (Jumantik). Furthermore, workers with wages equal to the UMP, seniors aged 60 years and over (seniors), people with disabilities, veteran members, Prosperous Family Card holders, residents with Thousand Islands ID cards, mosque administrators, PAUD teachers, and members of the TNI/Polri.

Apart from using JakMob cards for payments by tap-in, these 15 groups can also use the JakLingko application. This means that when their card is left behind, they can still take advantage of free public transportation facilities using their mobile phone. The JakMob card is valid for six months. Once the validity period expires, they can apply for an extension in the application.

President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo said that the launch of this card is part of a commitment to support social inclusion and mobility of the people of Jakarta through financial services that are integrated with public transportation. "We believe that equal and affordable transportation access will open up wider economic and social opportunities. Bank DKI is committed to continuing to support public services that make people's lives easier, especially those who need it most," said Agus H Widodo.

This Free Service Card can be used to ride Transjakarta non-cashly and will be connected to PT Transportation Jakarta's electronic ticket system. Apart from supporting mobility, this card is also expected to encourage digital financial literacy, considering that population data and beneficiary status have been systematically integrated. This launch also shows the synergy between the banking sector and public transportation in developing Jakarta as a global city.

A number of Jakarta residents also expressed their appreciation for the issuance of the Jakarta Free Access Mobility Card. Mustofa, administrator of the Al-Falah Mosque, West Cakung, East Jakarta. "Alhamdulillah, thank you DKI Provincial Government and DKI Bank. Finally I got this card. It is very useful for reducing my expenses," he said.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, expressed his hope that the JakMob Card would be a form of Bank DKI's support for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's work program. He also hopes to provide maximum benefits to the citizens of Jakarta, especially the 15 groups of people who receive free public transportation services.
