Commitment to Implementing Good Governance, Bank DKI Receives Proud Appreciation from the Corruption Eradication Commission

Published: 02 August 2021

Bank DKI's commitment to implementing good governance has received appreciation from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Bank DKI is one of 15 BUMN/BUMN/BUMD subsidiaries that received the top 10 highest scores in implementing the gratification control program in Indonesia in Semester I 2021. Bank DKI's achievement was obtained based on the monitoring and evaluation report on the implementation of the gratification control program submitted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). "This positive assessment shows that the implementation of Bank DKI's corporate governance has gone well," said the Corporate Secretary of Bank DKI, Herry Djufraini in a written statement in Jakarta, (01/8).

To determine the development of gratification control in government agencies in Indonesia, the Directorate of Gratification and Public Services carries out monitoring and evaluation (monev) activities on the implementation of PPG. The monitoring and evaluation was carried out on 3 (three) components, namely the availability of gratification control tools, PPG implementation, and the results of PPG implementation. This activity is carried out every quarter through a mechanism for reconciliation and verification of PPG implementation progress data from the Gratification Control Unit (UPG).

"Representing all levels of Bank DKI management, we express our appreciation and thanks to the Corruption Eradication Commission, customers and all stakeholders for the assessment given to the company. This achievement is an appreciation of Bank DKI's commitment to implementing corporate governance at every level of the organization and in every company activity, including the implementation of the gratification control program," said Herry.

A number of gratification control programs that have been implemented by Bank DKI include the implementation of a commitment by all employees not to accept and/or give gratuities from/to Stakeholders and other third parties, to realize dignified and ethical business practices in the context of implementing good corporate governance. Bank DKI also routinely carries out socialization on gratification control to create a governance process that is free from elements of gratification which is carried out in collaboration with external parties. Apart from that, Bank DKI has also provided a Whistle Blowing System to create good corporate governance.

Semester 1 2021, Prints Profit of 40.8%

Apart from excelling in implementing the gratuity control program, Bank DKI also succeeded in recording profit growth of 40.8% (year-on-year) from IDR 279 billion as of June 2020 to IDR 394 billion as of June 2021. This profit growth was driven by increased credit and improvements in the structure of Third Party Funds (DPK).

Bank DKI's Third Party Funds (DPK) collection experienced growth of 26.9% from the June 2020 period of IDR 35.4 trillion to IDR 44.9 trillion as of June 2021. The growth in DPK was driven by the growth of cheap funds in both Current Accounts and Savings, where Current Accounts grew 59.8% to IDR 11.1 trillion as of June 2021 from previously IDR 6.9 trillion and Savings grew 10.9% to IDR 9.7 trillion per June 2021 from previously IDR 8.7 trillion as of June 2020. Bank DKI also succeeded in growing its credit distribution portion to IDR 36.1 trillion or an increase of 12.8% compared to the June 2020 period of IDR 31.9 trillion.

As a BUMD in DKI Jakarta that continues to support various work programs of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Bank DKI views the importance of implementing corporate governance to achieve sustainable performance growth. Bank DKI continues to synergize and collaborate to meet the expectations of shareholders and stakeholders. "Especially in the midst of the current pandemic. Collaboration in every element of Bank DKI in executing various Business Plans as well as strong support from stakeholders are the main factors in Bank DKI's business continuity," concluded Herry.
