Bank DKI Takes Part in OJK and ILO Collaboration Workshop

Jakarta – Collaboration between the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the International Labor Organization (ILO), which also involves various stakeholders and the banking industry, held a workshop with the theme "Advancing an inclusive financial ecosystem that enables responsible digital wage payments for SMEs and workers in Indonesia" in Jakarta on Wednesday (6/12). The forum was held as an effort to develop an inclusive financial ecosystem by encouraging the transition to digital wage payments for workers in Indonesia.

Also present on this occasion was the Director of Technology & Operations and Acting Principal Director of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, who was also a speaker at a seminar and discussion entitled "The Role of the Financial Sector in Encouraging Responsible Digital Wage Payments for MSMEs in Indonesia", as well as other invitations from the Ministry of Manpower, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Bank Indonesia, Women's World Banking and CEOs and CFOs from the banking sector.

"Digital financial literacy and inclusion for MSMEs, including workers in this sector, is an important point to support the digital wage payment transition and the transition from the informal economy to the formal economy," said Amirul.

Amirul explained that the concepts of financial literacy and inclusion are the main pillars in supporting the digital financial transition. Bank DKI also highlighted ongoing efforts in developing digital solutions that suit the needs and developments of the times for MSME players. Amirul further emphasized that this seminar is also a form of Bank DKI's commitment to providing useful knowledge and empowering MSME players to adopt innovative financial technology.

For information, this forum was held as a forum for discussion of the urgency of encouraging the transition to digital wage payments, including case studies that focus on obstacles and solutions in the digital transition, especially for the MSME sector and vulnerable workers in rural areas, the informal sector, women and migrant workers. The workshop also discussed strategies for financial and wage payment service providers to develop digital wage payment solutions that support expanding access to financial products and services such as savings, credit and insurance with a focus on the needs of SMEs and their workers.

Meanwhile, Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, said that digital transformation is an important step in responding to customer needs and supporting economic and social development in the region.
