Increasing Financial Inclusion to the Thousand Islands, Bank DKI Holds the Digital Island People's Party

Bank DKI collaborated with the Financial Services Authority, Bank Indonesia, and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government on Friday 21 July 2023, to present the Bank DKI Island Digital Folk Festival with various events including: financial literacy socialization, MSME booth for residents of Pramuka Island, Seribu Islands, Bank DKI digital product education and entertainment events. The event was attended by the Main Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy as well as the Board of Directors of Bank DKI, Chief Executive of Banking Supervision of the Financial Services Authority, Dian Ediana Rae, Head of OJK Regional Office 1 DKI Jakarta and Banten, Roberto Akyuwen, Regent of Seribu Islands Administration, Junaedi and Member of Commission XI DPR RI, Kamrussamad.

The President Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy, said that the "Bank DKI Island Digital People's Party" event was a forum for increasing inclusion and financial literacy, in this case digital banking, for the entire community, especially the residents of Pramuka Island, especially as Pramuka Island was prepared as an island for the purpose of holding international events. "We know that the Thousand Islands, especially Pramuka Island, is a national tourism center, and Bank DKI is taking a role here by preparing the community through education and digital financial literacy," said Fidri.

For your information, through the "Bank DKI Digital People's Party", the people of Pramuka Island were introduced more closely to various digital products and services of Bank DKI, such as JakOne Abank, JakOne Merchant and, most recently, JakErte. Not only that, the public can also get in-depth information regarding other banking product programs such as KEJAR, to Hajj and Umrah Savings (Taharoh). On this occasion, the Bank DKI MSME Village was also inaugurated, which is Bank DKI's Social Responsibility program, where in this program, Bank DKI carried out restructuring using a digitalization approach through the JakOne Abank application, and JakOne Merchant for temporary locations (loksem) for MSME traders.

Chief Executive of Banking Supervision at the Financial Services Authority, Dian Ediana Rae, expressed the hope that Bank DKI as a Regional Development Bank (BPD) could play the role of regional champion, and become a host in the DKI Jakarta area, through wider market penetration, one of which is by holding financial literacy and inclusion activities. "I think this activity (Ed: Bank DKI Digital People's Party) is a good example for Bank DKI in terms of market penetration, as well as education on digital banking transactions in the Seribu Islands," he said.

In line with this, the Regent of Seribu Islands Administration, Junaedi, in his speech expressed his appreciation for the collaboration in implementing the "Bank DKI Island Digital People's Party" event as a form of attention to the people of Pramuka Island, especially in providing access to financial services. "This is a sign that the Thousand Islands are not left behind, and the community can be helped by learning about digital financial transactions, and encouraging increased economic contribution, especially for MSME players," said Junaedi.

Under the leadership of the President Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy, Bank DKI continues to improve digital services, by implementing various superior programs including: establishing a Command Center to strengthen the control function of Bank DKI's digital products and services, developing features and services for its digital applications, as well as presenting a New Flagship Branch and increasing the number of CRM (Cash Recycle Machines).

Synergy and collaboration also continues to be carried out and developed by Bank DKI, including through collaboration with cardless cash withdrawals at BNI, BCA and CIMB ATMs, as well as collaboration with Indomaret in providing cardless cash withdrawal services throughout the Indomaret network, then also collaboration with Perbarindo in terms of digitalizing BPR, and most recently the partnership with BC Card Asia in the context of providing a Payment Service System.

Due to the various efforts made by Bank DKI, throughout 2023 Bank DKI succeeded in winning 53 award categories from independent institutions in various fields, such as human resources (HR), governance & risk, technology, and digital products and services. Some of the latest awards that Bank DKI has won include Indonesia Most Prestigious Company 2023 with Outstanding in Accommodating Various Needs of Public Financial Transactions, KBMI 2 category, Indonesia Most Acclaimed Company Awards (IMACO) 2023 from Warta Ekonomi, then the Top Bank 2023 Award and Top Banking CEO 2023 at the 4th Indonesia Top Bank Awards 2023 and Indonesia Top Banking CEO 2023 from The Iconomics and winning 7 (seven) award categories at the same time in the 20th Infobank - MRI Banking Service Excellence 2023 event from Infobank.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, on the same occasion added, Bank DKI will continue to encourage various inclusion and education activities on banking services, especially non-cash transactions. "Through active collaboration with regulators, Bank DKI confirms its commitment to encouraging a digital-based approach to banking products and services so that more people can be served, which of course has an impact on contributing to national economic growth," concluded Arie.
