Quarter III/2022: Bank DKI Records Credit Growth of 26.82% with Net Profit Growing 28.83%

Jakarta – Bank DKI continues to record positive performance with solid expansion in the third quarter of 2022, in line with the focus on healthy and sustainable growth. Several financial performance indicators recorded good growth and were accompanied by improvements in the quality of assets owned. Bank DKI's net profit recorded growth of 28.83% (YoY), from IDR 564 billion in September 2021, to IDR 726 billion in September 2022. This was stated by the President Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy in a written statement in Jakarta (26/10).
Apart from net profit, Bank DKI also recorded credit growth of 26.82% (YoY), from IDR 36.9 trillion in September 2021 to IDR 46.7 trillion in September 2022. This credit growth was followed by improvements in asset quality which was marked by a decrease in the gross Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio from 2.93% in September 2021, to 1.81% in September 2022 with Loan at Risk (LAR) 13.68%, previously 17.32% in the same period last year. "In every business expansion we undertake, Bank DKI always prioritizes the principle of prudence," he explained.
Furthermore, Fidri said that in the midst of intense banking competition in collecting Third Party Funds (DPK), Bank DKI was still able to record DPK growth of 29.51%, from IDR 47.1 trillion in September 2021, to IDR 60.9 trillion in September 2022. These various performance achievements encouraged an increase in total assets of 26.90% from IDR 59.29 trillion in September 2021, to IDR 75.24 trillion in September 2022.
Director of Finance & Strategy, Romy Wijayanto explained that the achievement of credit growth was driven by the growth of a number of credit segments on a Year on Year (YoY) basis, including the micro segment (46.76%), retail (37.73%), medium and commercial (31.56%), and the consumer segment (12.95%) as well as Sharia financing (12.43%). Meanwhile for DPK, Current Accounts grew 41.06%, Deposits grew 34.22%, and savings grew 2.90%. With this growth in credit and deposits, the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) position was maintained at 76.68%.
The increase in Bank DKI's performance was also followed by improvements in a number of important ratios, until September 2022 the Return on Equity (ROE) ratio had successfully reached double digits, recorded at 10.48% from the previous 8.24% in September 2021. Furthermore, the Operational Expense to Operating Income (BOPO) ratio was also maintained at around 76.28% with a Net Interest Margin (NIM) of 4.67%, which means that Bank DKI was able to maintain the level of efficiency accompanied by a reduction in the Cost of Funds. (CoF) owned. Apart from that, net profit increased by 28.83%, supported by an increase in net interest income of 9.8%, also operating income other than interest increased by 24.6% with operating expenses increasing by 6.9%.
"In an effort to increase cheap funds, Bank DKI developed the JakOne Mobile super app which comes with a more attractive and user friendly appearance and more complete features," explained Romy. One of the new features available is opening a savings account online without having to go to a branch office, as well as a mobile cash feature that allows customers to make cash withdrawals at ATM machines without a card. Users can also easily make payments using the Scan to Pay method directly from the JakOne Mobile application at various merchants with the QRIS logo. Apart from that, Bank DKI also implemented the JakOne Abank application which allows MSME players to join as agents and serve various banking transactions and earn income from each transaction, which as of September 2022 will number 2,522 JakOne Abank merchants.
Furthermore, Fidri said that Bank DKI's financial performance, which continues to show positive growth, is also concrete evidence of the success of the transformation efforts carried out by Bank DKI since 2021. "Seeing the continuation of positive performance, we are optimistic that Bank DKI will be able to achieve the targets set by shareholders by the end of 2022," concluded Fidri.

In line with its positive financial performance achievements, Bank DKI also received a number of awards in 2022, including the title of 15 Best Banks according to Forbes Indonesia Magazine and being the only BPD in this award, the 27th Infobank Awards in the Special Performance Bank category in the Core Capital Bank Group (KBMI) 2 category with assets of IDR 50 trillion to under IDR 100 trillion, the Golden Trophy (performance predicate "Very Good" for 5 consecutive years and the performance predicate "Very Good" category KBMI 2 (Assets IDR 50 trillion to under IDR 100 trillion) to the 2022 TOP GRC Awards as well as other awards in the fields of human resources, technology, digital banking, SME Financing, corporate image, and awards in the field of sharia banking.
Most recently, Bank DKI succeeded in winning the Bisnis Indonesia Financial Award 2022 as Best Performance Bank in the Regional Development Bank (BPD) Category with Assets > 30 Trillion from the Bisnis Indonesia Newspaper. Apart from that, Bank DKI also succeeded in obtaining a number of important certifications, namely SNI ISO 37001:2016 Certification concerning Anti-Bribery Management Systems issued by TUV Nord Indonesia (an International Certification Body from Germany which is recognized by the National Accreditation Committee) and ISO 27001:2013 Certification concerning Information Security Management Systems for the SuperApps JakOne Mobile Service issued by TUV Rheinland Indonesia.
