Bank DKI Also Supports DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Collaboration to Help Handle Floods in Bekasi

Bekasi - To assist with post-flood management in Bekasi City, Bank DKI also supports the collaboration of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in carrying out a number of flood management activities including providing assistance for flood survivors to the Bekasi City Government. The assistance was in the form of basic food packages and 7,000 kg of rice which was handed over by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of DKI Jakarta, Marullah Matali, in Bekasi, Thursday (6/3).

Bank DKI President Director Agus H. Widodo said that the provision of assistance was a form of support to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in providing a quick response and concern for the people affected by the flood disaster in the Bekasi area. He further expressed his hope that the people affected by the flood disaster and their families would be given strength and fortitude and undergo a quick recovery process, so that activities could return to normal. "Bank DKI expresses its deep concern over the flood conditions that occurred. Hopefully this assistance can ease and speed up the recovery process for the affected communities," said Agus.

Apart from providing assistance in the form of basic food packages and rice, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also sent hundreds of personnel for community service. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government sent 342 Human Resources (HR), consisting of 200 DKI Jakarta Environmental Service personnel, 87 Central Jakarta Administrative City Infrastructure and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) personnel, 15 DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service personnel, and 40 DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forest Service personnel. These personnel were deployed to help residents who are currently working to clean up mud and rubbish left over from floods at various points. Apart from that, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also provides fire trucks, toilets, rubbish collection trucks, and rice and side dishes.
