Bank DKI Invites DKI Jakarta Flat Residents to Develop Hydroponic Businesses

Jakarta – Inviting the people of DKI Jakarta to develop hydroponic businesses, Bank DKI together with the residents of Pondok Bambu Flats, East Jakarta launched the Hydroponic Garden Program. This program is Bank DKI's Corporate Social Responsibility Program, and is also an effort to make people aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle through consuming organic vegetables and fruit. This was conveyed by the Corporate Secretary of Bank DKI, Herry Djufraini in his written statement in Jakarta (27/11).
Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Herry Djufraini, said that the Hydroponics Program which was launched for Pondok Bambu Flats residents started from technical development in terms of supporting facilities such as green houses, plant seeds, planting media facilities to education and assistance regarding hydroponics so that it could be utilized by flat residents.
"This program can be a business opportunity for flat residents to develop processed hydroponic products," said Herry. This program is also a solution to the limited green space in DKI Jakarta. Previously, Bank DKI had implemented a Hydroponics program which was carried out at Rusunawa Jatinegara Kaum in 2017 which has now been successful in harvesting repeatedly. Then in 2019 Bank DKI also launched a Hydroponic Garden program located at KS Tubun, Pesakih, Daan Mogot, Semper and Jati Rawasari Flats.
It is hoped that the hydroponics set up in the Pondok Bambu flats will encourage residents to become hydroponic vegetable entrepreneurs. Starting from empowerment through public education about hydroponics and processing hydroponic products, then developing from a larger business scale so that we hope to become a merchant and partner of Bank DKI in the future.
Herry also invited all the people of DKI Jakarta to increase environmental awareness by joining the JakOne Artri community developed by Bank DKI. Through the JakOne Artri community, Bank DKI invites the public to care about the environment through waste management which can still provide economic value through R3 (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) activities and is supported by modern applications.
Apart from the Hydroponic Garden Program which was launched, Bank DKI also invites the people of DKI Jakarta to join the JakOne Artri community in an effort to increase environmental awareness through waste sorting which provides added economic value. For information, the flow of JakOne Artri community activities begins with sorting waste (bottles, plastic cups, paper and so on) by residents, then taking it to the Garbage Collector (Mountrash Point) to be weighed and recorded according to category using the JakOne Artri application.
Bank DKI Corporate Secretary Herry Djufraini hopes that the hydroponic garden can provide benefits to the residents of DKI Jakarta in the field of environment and community empowerment.
