Promoting the City of Jakarta, Bank DKI Takes a Role in the 2023 Jakarta Half Marathon

Jakarta – Bank DKI, as a BUMD belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov), is also one of the sponsors of the road running event entitled "Jakarta Half Marathon 2023" which was held at the Monas intersection, Jakarta (20/08). It was recorded that almost 10,000 participants divided into a number of categories, namely 5K, 10K and 21K, took part starting at 05.15 WIB in the flag off session which was opened by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, and the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi and accompanied by the Director of Technology & Operations who is also the Acting Director (Plt). Main Director of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono and a number of other DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officials. The 2023 Jakarta Half Marathon is part of the event to welcome the 78th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and the 56th anniversary of ASEAN.

Director of Technology & Operations and concurrently Acting Director (Plt). The President Director of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, who also handed over medals to the winners, said that through this event, Bank DKI played a role in supporting the promotion of the City of Jakarta, especially at national and international scale events. Bank DKI has specially prepared a special Jakarta Half Marathon Edition JakCard wrapped in a bundling coupon for participants. "This is our effort to support the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in realizing its vision of making Jakarta a global city, one of which is running competitions," said Amirul.

Even more interesting, the 2023 Jakarta Half Marathon was also enlivened by the Cokelat Band, DJ Kaell, and Zumba exercise by Cantika Felder. Apart from that, a number of officials were seen, such as the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Dito Ariotedjo, who was also present to hand out medals, as well as the Minister of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno along with the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya, who did not miss out on taking part in the competition. There are a number of routes taken around the Monas area, Jalan MH Thamrin, to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman.

Amirul added, apart from its role as one of the sponsors who provided prizes in the form of savings to the winners, through the "Jakarta Half Marathon 2023" Bank DKI also supported MSME players to be able to appear and introduce their products to participants and the public who attended the event. Apart from that, Bank DKI also provides a special booth as a forum for introducing Bank DKI products and services, especially digital services to the wider community.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, on the same occasion said that this event was a form of collaboration and synergy between DKI Jakarta BUMD and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. "Bank DKI, with its role as a collaborator, through various forms of synergy and collaboration with BUMD DKI Jakarta, continues to be committed to supporting the achievements of realizing Jakarta's Success for Indonesia," concluded Arie.
