In the midst of the Covid pandemic that still surrounds DKI Jakarta, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Rasyid Baswedan expressed his appreciation to all parties who follow and support Jakarta Bangkit. One of them is Bank DKI which is a BUMD of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government which supports the revival of the economy in DKI Jakarta. This was conveyed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan in Jakarta, (25/06).
Anies Baswedan also expressed his appreciation for the implementation of non-cash transactions in DKI Jakarta, the JakOne Mobile application from Bank DKI which provides convenience, comfort and security for banking transactions from home, especially during a pandemic like now. He also invited every resident of DKI Jakarta to continue to implement health protocols and avoid activities that have a risk of spreading Covid-19.
Anies further said that the breakthrough made by Bank DKI was a form of collaboration to build a better Jakarta. Even though the commemoration of Jakarta's 494th anniversary is still in a pandemic situation, Anies believes that Jakarta will become an increasingly resilient city, rise and progress, so that the capital city will become an area of pride for everyone.
As is known, Bank DKI has provided various forms of support to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, especially in mitigating the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, such as Bank DKI which is trusted by the government in distributing National Economic Recovery (PEN) funds. As of May 2021, Bank DKI is recorded as having distributed PEN funds amounting to IDR 3.36 trillion.
The PEN funds were used by Bank DKI to distribute credit to the productive sector so that it could encourage economic growth, especially to the micro, retail and corporate segments, including to the wholesale and retail trade sectors amounting to IDR 904.1 billion or reaching 26.91% of the total distribution of PEN funds.
Distributions in this sector are mainly distributed to MSME debtors, including existing micro debtors of Bank DKI, debtors assisted by JakPreneur, MSMEs in Perumda Pasar Jaya markets, as well as Cooperatives and Rural Credit Banks. PEN credit distribution was also distributed to the construction sector which builds public facilities and infrastructure in the DKI Jakarta area amounting to IDR 450.5 billion or reaching 13.41% of the total PEN funds that have been distributed by Bank DKI.
Apart from distributing PEN funds, since the beginning of January 2021, the DKI Jakarta Social Service together with Bank DKI have begun distributing Cash Social Assistance (BST) to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in stages while still implementing strict health protocols. As of May 2021, Bank DKI has distributed Cash Social Assistance to 1,142,294 Beneficiary Families (KPM) with a distribution percentage of 1,057,079 KPM who took ATM cards or the equivalent of 92.54%.
As a closing message, Anies said to maintain this spirit of collaboration and continue to implement health protocols by avoiding risky activities. By both prioritizing collaboration, Anies believes that Jakarta's revival is a necessity, because its citizens are actively involved in every development activity. "Continue to work, continue to contribute and continue to collaborate, God willing, Jakarta will rise stronger," concluded Anies.
