Strengthening Social Care, Bank Jakarta Distributes Compensation to 8,500 Orphans and Poor People

Jakarta – Bank Jakarta has again distributed compensation worth IDR 1.7 billion to be distributed to 8,500 orphans and the poor. This activity is a series of Ramadan Blessings throughout the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H/2026 AD. This compensation was handed over symbolically by the Directors of Bank Jakarta to representatives of orphans from various orphan foundations and orphanages in the DKI Jakarta Administrative City area in the "Iftar with Management and Compensation for Orphans" event which was held at Bank Jakarta Head Office on Thursday (12/03).

The Main Director of Bank Jakarta, Agus H Widodo, explained that the assistance came from zakat funds and infaq of Bank Jakarta employees which had been managed by the Bank Jakarta Zakat Management Unit (UPZ). Technically, this compensation is provided through foundations that manage orphans and orphanages in administrative city areas in DKI Jakarta.

As a DKI Jakarta BUMD, said Agus, Bank Jakarta has a responsibility to participate in helping people in need. "Through this activity, Bank Jakarta hopes to share happiness and provide support to children in need, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan," said Agus.

On the same occasion, Director of Compliance at Bank Jakarta, Ateng Rivai, said that the provision of compensation was a manifestation of gratitude for the achievements of Bank Jakarta, which will turn 65 years old in April 2026.
