Second Quarter 2022, Bank DKI's Net Profit Grows 30.64%

Bank DKI succeeded in recording positive performance growth in mid-2022. Based on the audited financial report for the period June 2022, Bank DKI succeeded in recording profit growth of 30.64% Yoy to IDR 504.90 billion from the previous quarter II 2021 of IDR 386.47 billion. Fidri said that Bank DKI's financial performance indicators recorded good growth, including total assets which grew by 28.99%, from Rp. 56.73 trillion in the second quarter of 2021 to Rp. trillion. Credit growth occurred in all segments, with the Micro segment having the highest growth percentage of 34.77% in the second quarter of 2022. This growth in credit distribution was also supported by improvements in Bank DKI's asset quality which was marked by a decrease in the NPL ratio, recorded at 2.26% in the second quarter of 2022 or an improvement compared to the second quarter of 2021 of 3.03%.
Apart from credit, Bank DKI also managed to record growth in Third Party Funds (DPK) of 35.12% (yoy) from IDR 44.95 trillion in the second quarter of 2021 to IDR 60.73 trillion in the second quarter of 2022. The growth in TPF was mainly driven by growth in Giro funds of 30.70% from IDR 11.07 trillion in the second quarter of 2021 to IDR 14.47 trillion in the second quarter. 2022.
Meanwhile, Director of Finance & Strategy at Bank DKI, Romy Wijayanto, said that the profit growth in the second quarter of 2022 of 30.64% was mainly supported by the growth in net interest income which grew 9.68% from IDR 1.30 trillion in the second quarter of 2021 to IDR 1.43 trillion in the second quarter of 2022. Romy also said that the various performance achievements made had been able to encourage an increase in Bank DKI's profitability ratio in the second quarter of 2022. This was marked by the growth in the Return on Equity (ROE) ratio which was able to record double digits in the second quarter of 2022 at 10.72%, or an increase compared to the same period in the previous year of 8.69%. The Return On Asset (ROA) ratio in the second quarter of 2022 was maintained at the level of 1.85%, whereas it was previously recorded at 1.87% in the second quarter of 2021. In line with various efficiency efforts carried out during 2022, Bank DKI succeeded in reducing the ratio of Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) which was recorded at 75.80% in the second quarter of 2022, an improvement compared to the second quarter of 2021 of 76.98%. In line with the credit growth that occurred, Bank DKI's Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) also increased in the second quarter of 2022, which was recorded at 71.86% compared to previous months, which was still below 70%.
Romy further said that to encourage the growth of cheap funds, Bank DKI continues to develop its various digital products so that it can further increase the comfort and ease of transactions. Through the development of the New Jakone Mobile application, Bank DKI presents a more attractive and user friendly appearance as well as more complete features, starting from paying various bills and online shopping, topping up electronic money, giving alms/donating to others to securing emergency funds through opening deposits and opening savings accounts online as well as Scan by QRIS transactions. As for the second quarter of 2022, JakOne Mobile application users have reached 1.7 million users with a nominal transaction amount reaching IDR 9.1 trillion, and transaction volume reaching 10.8 million transactions, followed by QRIS transactions which grew 742% (yoy). Furthermore, Fidri explained that in developing the business in 2022, Bank DKI has developed business development targets and strategies as well as formulated strategic policy directions with the main theme "Creating Accelerated Quality Growth with Transformation" which refers to the main aspects, namely; (1) Business Aspects, (2) Provincial Government Support Aspects, (3) HR & IT Aspects, (4) Customer Aspects, (5) GRC (Governance Risk & Compliance) Aspects and (6) Strategic Aspects. For this reason, Fidri is optimistic that the 5.0 transformation currently being carried out by Bank DKI management can increase Bank DKI's capability and capacity in facing the VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) era and increasingly fierce competition for digitalization of financial services.
Not to be left behind, on August 25 2022, Bank DKI also managed to win 3 awards at the same time at the prestigious 27th Infobank Awards, namely Special Performance Bank in the Core Capital Bank Group (KBMI) 2 category with assets of IDR 50 trillion to under IDR 100 trillion, Golden Trophy (Performance predicate "Very Good" for 5 consecutive years) and Performance predicate "Very Good" in the KBMI 2 category (Assets IDR 50 Trillion Up to Under IDR 100 Trillion). Apart from that, on May 19 2022, Bank DKI also won the TOP BUMD 2022 award from Infobank Magazine and The Asian Post as one of the BPDs with the "Excellent" predicate in the KBMI 2 Bank category with assets of IDR 50 trillion to IDR 100 trillion. In the same year, Bank DKI was also included in the list of 15 Best Banks in Indonesia as well as being included in the ranks of the World's Best Banks or Best Banks in the World in 2022 according to Forbes Magazine.
Achieve ISO 27001:2013 for Providing JakOne Mobile Super Apps Services
As part of its commitment to improving the quality of information security, Bank DKI successfully received ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management System Certification for Providing JakOne Mobile Super Apps Services from TUV Rheinland Indonesia. The event for handing over international standard certificates in the field of information technology which took place on Wednesday, August 31 2022, was also attended by Roberto Akyuwen as Head of OJK Regional Office 1 DKI Jakarta and Banten, and Onny Widjanarko as Head of BI Representative for DKI Jakarta Province. This certification was handed over by Edmundus Wiharyono as Director of TUV Rheinland Indonesia to Amirul Wicaksono as Director of Technology and Operations at Bank DKI.
Through this certification, Bank DKI has made an important commitment to fulfill regulations such as Bank Indonesia Regulations (PBI), Financial Services Authority Regulations (POJK), and National Cyber and Crypto Agency Regulations (BSSN), considering that banks are a strategic industry that must protect customer data and services, especially in implementing Cyber Security.
