ASBANDA: BPD SI DPK Reaches IDR 576.53 Trillion

The Association of Regional Development Banks (Asbanda) recorded a cumulative increase in Third Party Funds of Regional Development Banks (BPD) throughout Indonesia. "DPK as of September 2018 was recorded at IDR 512.98 trillion, up 12.39% to IDR 576.53 trillion in September 2019," said Executive Director of Asbanda, Wimran Ismaun to Antara in Jakarta, Wednesday. If we look at the strength of national bank DPK, Wimran said that the position of BPD DPK in Indonesia was in fourth place in national DPK as of September 2019.
In terms of assets, BPDs throughout Indonesia that are members of Asbanda are also getting better as evidenced by the four banks included in book III, one of which is Bank DKI, a BPD owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government which was recorded as having assets of IDR 50.2 trillion as of September 2019. With the increase in healthy bank indicators, Asbanda is optimistic that BPDs throughout Indonesia can work on national strategic projects (PSN).
"The increase in DPK to BPD assets is a bargaining point and the government's attention is to provide opportunities for BPD to work on PSN in the regions," explained Wimran. He said this optimism was because the banking strength of regional BPDs throughout Indonesia was getting better every year. Wimran stated that in implementing PSN in a region, it is not only carried out by the BPD in that area. However, the project was carried out in collaboration with BPDs throughout Indonesia.
National Simpeda Lottery
To increase BPD SI DPK, Asbanda, as a forum for Regional Development Banks throughout Indonesia, is holding a grand BPD Bank Fortune Harvest event for the second period of Year XXX-2020, which is a Simpeda Savings Draw program held at the National level. Regional Development Savings Savings (Simpeda) is a profitable savings product with wide access and is included in local and national draws with a total prize of IDR 6 billion.
For this period, the Simpeda National Savings Draw is trusted as the host, Bank DKI. Asbanda said, one of the strategies to increase BPD DPK throughout Indonesia is through the National Simpeda Draw activity which is held every year. "This Simpeda is played twice every year. This year the host is DKI Jakarta," said Wimran, who hopes that the National Simpeda Draw can increase BPD assets throughout Indonesia, which currently stand at IDR 733 trillion.
On a separate occasion, the Corporate Secretary of Bank DKI, Herry Djufraini, said that Bank DKI as the host and participant of the BPD SI Fortune Harvest program hopes to make the BPD Fortune Harvest a success. Herry also added that apart from drawing lots, a National BPD SI Seminar with the theme BUMD Synergy will also be held in DKI Jakarta.
