Bank Jakarta Ready to Support Persija in the 2025-2026 Super League

Jakarta, 17 July 2025 – As a form of commitment to the progress of football in Jakarta, Bank Jakarta is ready to express its support for the Persija football club in facing the 2025–2026 I-League Super League competition. This support was realized through the signing of a memorandum of understanding as one of the official sponsors of the club nicknamed Macan Kemayoran which was held in Jakarta (17/07)

The signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was carried out by the President Director of Bank Jakarta, Agus H. Widodo, and the President Director of PT Persija Jaya Jakarta, Mohamad Prapanca, witnessed by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno and the General Chair of JakMania, Diky Soemarno at Taman Menteng, Jakarta. This location was not chosen without reason—Taman Menteng has historical value as the legendary homeground of Persija.

Agus H. Widodo said that through this collaboration Bank Jakarta wants to be part of Persija's journey, more than just a logo on a jersey. "Persija is the spirit of the people of Jakarta. We want to be part of Persija's journey. The passion, loyalty and extraordinary positive energy are in line with Bank Jakarta's new spirit: advanced, dynamic and relevant for today's and future generations," said Agus.

He further expressed that his support for Persija is believed to be in line with the transformation currently being implemented by Bank Jakarta. "Bank Jakarta is growing, improving, and ready to become a bank that is not only close to service, but also close to heart. We want to be present in spaces that have meaning for Jakarta residents. And Persija is one of them," said Agus.

Apart from providing sponsorship support to the club, Bank Jakarta also stated its readiness to support the entire Persija Jakarta ecosystem. This includes the payment system at the Persija Store and the Persija Access digital platform.

"JakMania is a large and loyal community that is the backbone of Persija Jakarta. We see the extraordinary potential of JakMania members in increasing financial literacy and inclusion. Therefore, Bank Jakarta is also committed to building direct partnerships with JakMania through various inclusive services and programs," added Agus.

Persija's Main Director, Mohamad Prapanca, expressed his appreciation for the trust given by Bank Jakarta. "We welcome this collaboration with full optimism. This collaboration is new energy that fuels our determination in welcoming the new season. We have the same spirit, namely working hard for the city and making Jakarta proud in the eyes of everyone. Bank Jakarta Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi also expressed his hope that Bank Jakarta's partnership with Persija would be the right momentum for Bank Jakarta to introduce the call name "Bank Jakarta" more widely to the public, as well as strengthening its identity as a bank that is proud of the citizens of the capital city.
