Encouraging the Implementation of ESG in Business, Bank Jakarta Wins the 2025 Regional Banking ESG Excellence Award

Jakarta – Bank Jakarta received the Regional Banking ESG Excellence Awards for its contribution to economic growth in DKI Jakarta and nationally through support for the MSME sector, as well as community empowerment at the Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards event in Jakarta, Thursday (16/10). This award was received by the Director of Finance & Strategy at Bank Jakarta, Basaria Martha Juliana as an appreciation for Bank Jakarta which is considered to have encouraged ESG adaptation in its business activities.

Bank Jakarta's Director of Finance & Strategy, Basaria Martha Juliana, in her acceptance speech expressed her thanks and appreciation as energy to continue to innovate and expand positive impacts. "We would like to express our thanks to the Shareholders, all customers and stakeholders who always give their trust and support to Bank Jakarta," said Martha.

The Regional Banking ESG Excellence Awards are part of the Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards which are a series of awards from CNBC Indonesia TV in providing exposure to institutions and corporations in Indonesia. In 2025, the award will be carried out by considering the assessment of various indicators by paying attention to business and financial performance as well as looking at bank governance which is assessed based on the GCG composite score.

Furthermore, Martha also expressed her gratitude to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, as a shareholder, which continues to support Bank Jakarta's transformation steps to become stronger and more sustainable. "This award is an important moment for a long-term commitment to sustainability as the key to building resilient institutions amidst global uncertainty," said Martha.

In line with this, Bank Jakarta Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi said that Bank Jakarta continues to encourage the expansion of economic inclusion through community empowerment, especially MSME players, including through collaboration with various parties in the use of banking products and services that support the sustainability of micro businesses, starting from cash management services, savings, current accounts, deposits, to financing facilities.

Most recently, Bank Jakarta collaborated with Indogrosir to inaugurate the Mandiri Indogrosir (TMI) Disabled Store as a form of effort to encourage economic independence through an inclusive retail business model. "Through this series of steps, Bank Jakarta continues to play a role as a Regional Development Bank that seeks to harmonize ESG principles, especially in social development, through the creation of a modern, inclusive and sustainable MSME ecosystem," concluded Arie.
