BPKH Appoints UUS Bank DKI as Hajj Finance Management Bank
Jakarta, July 23 2024Jakarta – Bank DKI's Sharia Business Unit (UUS) has received the trust of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) as one of the Hajj Financial Management Commercial Banks which carries out the function as Bank Receiving Deposits for Hajj Organizing Costs for the Period July 2024 - June 2027. This appointment was ratified through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement carried out by the Head of the BPKH Implementing Agency, Fadlul Imansyah and the Director of Retail & Sharia of Bank DKI, Henky Oktavianus, simultaneously with representatives of other Commercial Banks, in Jakarta on Monday (22/07).
BPKH is the body responsible for managing Hajj funds from prospective Indonesian Hajj pilgrims. With this appointment, Bank DKI will be responsible for managing and securing, as well as ensuring that Hajj funds are managed professionally, transparently and accountably.
Bank DKI Retail & Sharia Director, Henky Oktavianus said, "This appointment is a great honor and responsibility which will be carried out with full commitment and integrity by Bank DKI. This is also an opportunity for Bank DKI to make a bigger contribution in supporting the implementation of the Hajj pilgrimage for the Indonesian people," said Henky.
Henky further emphasized that Bank DKI is committed to providing the best service in managing Hajj funds, including providing complete and adequate banking facilities, as well as maintaining security and comfort in transactions for prospective Hajj pilgrims. Bank DKI will also continue to collaborate with BPKH to ensure that the entire Hajj fund management process runs in accordance with sharia principles and applicable regulations.
The President Director of Bank DKI, Agus H. Widodo, in his official statement said that the appointment of Bank DKI as the Hajj financial management bank was also part of this bank's efforts to expand sharia banking services and increase financial inclusion in Indonesia.
